Bad enough snow forced the game to be moved to Monday. Now what? Apparently the roof has collapsed before, and it's taken a few days to get it back up.
I hear there are a few possibilities for the game (including Detroit and New Orleans), I wonder why they don't try and play it at the University of Minnesota's stadium.
I am pretty sure with ZOOM lens you can see Brett Favre piling snow on the roof.....he will do anything to give him more time to recover and continue his streak.
And Sunday Ticket will cover it..... WTF they never did that for the Dolphins with the games moved due to hurricanes. I wonder if the game in Detroit will be a freebie like the Dolphin/ Chargers game in Phoenix in 2003.
That is the part that makes me CRAZY. The NFL gave us a song and dance about Sunday Ticket only covering "games on Sunday" but they can bend the rules now? PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTT!! BTW, the same thing happened to the dome we have in Vancouver but I don't for the life of me remember how long it took to fix it.
This seals one of two things. In 2012, the Vikings will be playing in LA and point at this as to why they need a new dome --- "Imagine if our fans were in there." In 2011, the Vikings will be granted the additional 2/3rd's funding they need to complete a new stadium deal from the goverment, with the goverment saying "Imagine if our citizens were in there." Either way, the Vikings will have a new home soon enough. BTW- Ticket holders for the Minny Dome will get 50 Yard line seats in Detroit. Anyone showing up will get free General Admission Tickets, and anyone who bought a seat for the Minny Dome game will be refunded. Pretty much, if you paid for it, you get your money back and a better seat. If you didn't, free game. They did not want to play at Gopher Stadium because its a 57,000 seat outdoor stadium. Too drastic from the dome environment, and they did not want to cram 70,000 into it. The Giants also did not have their cold weather gear with them.
