    Jets 9-4
    Dolphins 7-6

Jets next two games (@ Pitt; @ Chicago)

Dolphins next two games (Buffalo, Detroit)

    Jets 9-6
    Dolphins 9-6

Unfortunately in week 17 Jets play Buffalo and we got NE, but by then NE may be playing their 3rd stringers.

Buffalo and the Lions will be a chore for this team. No easy win or an easy try.

Exactly. Add not having any pressure to win and bad teams all of a sudden become dangerous.

The only scenario I see NE sitting starters in, involves Pittsburgh laying an egg, and NE safely owning the 1st seed in the playoffs. Right now they're only one game up on the Steelers.

Even so... I highly doubt it. As competitive as that team is, I'm sure they still remember the embarrassment of the Wildcat game from a few years ago, and just want to crush any playoff hopes we have. If Miami were a completely crap team, maybe I could see it, but we're very volatile, and could cause some havoc in the playoffs.

Point being, New England hates us. I am willing to stake money on the fact that they come at us 100%

Jets are going to finish 10-6, maybe 11-5 if Cutler outsucks Sanchez

New England is basically 2 games up on Pitt due to the tiebreaker

They'll be playing a concussed Aaron Rodgers at home and the Bills the following week...chances are the New England starters will only play one half of football, if that. Doesn't matter though, because Jets and Ravens will finish no worse than 10-6. Ravens probably 11-5.

And .... the games are in Miami

Show of hands, back in April, if someone told you the Phins would be 6-1 on the road by mid December, who here would think we're headed for a playoff bye!! (my hand is up).

The irony of ironies would be both the Phins and Jets heading into week 17 at 9-6. Bills beat the Jets, and the Dolphins beat New England, who rests its starters most of the game (remember, Billichick lost Welker last year in week 17, being pig-headed and playing him longer than he should). Dolphins make playoffs because - as Indy did last year for the Jets - the Pats rest their starters.

Oh, the irony for the Jet fans!!!!

That would be some funny sh*t, but Sanchez won't even have to throw a pass against Buffalo. The Jets should be able to easily rush for 300+ yards and have a TOP of 40+ minutes

Exactly right. Neither of those teams is as bad as their records seem to indicate. Buffalo, as awful as they've been, they fight till the end usually. It's going to be a tough one.

Alot of people look at Detroit as a pushover too, however IMO that's not the case. Jim Schwartz has that team played really well, especially defensively. Their front 4 is crazy good, and with the shape our OL is in, it could get ugly for us. If Drew Stanton plays, it'll be interesting to see the good old MSU/Michigan rivalry between him and Henne again, but I feel that if Stanton plays, we have a good shot at the win. He's not that good throwing the ball, lately the Lions have been using him as a threat to run as well. Think about it, this Lions team shut the Packers out for the first half. That was when Rodgers was still in the game. They're not going to be as easy to play as people think.

    Most likely scenario?
Dolphins lose to Buffalo, beat Detroit and then lose to the Pats and finish 8-8.
Jets go 1-2 and finish 10-6 and miss the playoffs.

Technically its 2 games for NE, because they get the head to head advantage though? We can send them the reminder of what happened last year with Welker?

I think we can beat Buffalo (bad team) and Detroit (Dome team). Brown/Marshall are enough on offense and Henne may play better in the warm weather. Law of averages says we win some games at home? LOL
