Yes, and he wasn't just the better Qb. He was/is a HOF Qb and it was not just because of his teamates.
What? No mention of Ted Ginn? And how about Garo Yepremian. He could kick and play QB in a pinch. He threw a TD pass in his only attempt in the Super Bowl.
Young QB... Young team. Love the Howard Twilley bit at the end.
You forgot to add that he was known to make the oustanding acrobatic catches, then drop 3 easy ones...
And ran poor routes struggling to get separation from defenders. And had difficulty adjusting to the ball when it was in the air. And lacked skill in being able to shield defenders from the ball. And...
Z thomas was always very over rated by Dolphins Fans. He is not a hall of famer... Ray Lewis is... Love ZT, just not a top 25 player on the Fins when you consider who is on the list (JMHO)
Overrated? I think hes borderline for HOF. Alot of those top 25 players wont ever see Canton and wernt really ever considered so to say Zach Thomas is very overrated is laughable IMO.
Yea, those 88yds and 1TD and INT would have been so difficult to replicate. I'm pretty sure the one who won the super bowl for us was Kilmer (ie the defense) and Csonka.
yes overrated... anyways opinions are like butt holes... everyone has one and some stink... that one is mine and I know to some it may stink but it "is" mine.
Are you trying to convince me? It's highly unlikely that you can.... Of all the HOF players on that team guess what order they went. Now Shhhhh
I'm pretty sure you're wrong. It was a team effort and Griese put the Skins back on their heals with an 18 yard strike. 14 points scored. One by running, one by passing.
top Dolphin picks: 1) Don Shula 2) Czonka 3) Griese & Marino 4) Richmond Webb, Larry Little & Dwight Stephenson 5) Duper & Clayton 6) Surtain & Madison 7) Zach Thomas & Jason Taylor 8) Ricky Williams 9) Dick Anderson 10)Nick Buoniconti future greats: Wake & Long
He is in the Pro Football HOF. That is the definition of a Hall of Famer, whether you agree he should be there or not. He also happens to be in the College Football HOF.
Kids today Ozzy, whaddaya gonna do? Telling old timers who saw it first hand, who know how much Griese meant to the victory.
Yes Sir!! I'm sure some will know. Maybe even some younger fans but the Grease was also a place kicker in College.
LOL, even going as far as telling me I could not have went to every game back then. Every home game! That's right! From 1970 thru 1987. Followed by 3 yrs of, well lets say, getting 3 hots and a cott. Folowed by another 18 straight seasons. I've seen them all. Up close..
