Cowher wants to go where they are stable at QB. He personally has said it.

Herm Edwards is available, though? :)

Cowher is going to Carolina and he's using the media to get there.

Cowher is a viable option because Ross will no doubt want the big name coach (he already took his chance on the rookie HC route) and he will have no problem handing the $$ to grab him. Next year would be the best time to make that change because of the deep pool of options at HC's

Remember folks, Sparano was hired BEFORE Ross took complete control. That was ultimately done on Huizenga's watch. Ross is a name dropping whore in my opinion, and wants to try to turn the Dolphins into some sort of chic place. From famous minority owner,s to the Orange Carpet gimmick. All signs point to him wanting to make a splash whether it be free agency or finding a new coach. Sparano's fate is seemingly sealed, or at least appears to be, so it stands to reason that Cowher might be an option.

I don't think money will be the issue for Cowher if there is one. Bill is in a position to sit back and pick his spot. Which is a great place to be since he can set himself up in a situation that is ripe with talent but missing something in the coaching arena. Whether that is Miami or not is to be determined.

I also don't know if it is set in stone that Nolan would get tossed. From what we can tell, Miami appears to have a similar defensive makeup as Cowher has seen and coached in the past. And it appears to be working, so Cowher may end up leaving that side of the ball alone. Or perhaps he DOES chuck Nolan off to the side. But Cowher's staffs have always been pretty good. Assuming Bill comes here, you have to think that talented assistants will follow.

The biggest positive that Cowher brings is that he likely can attract top level assistants. However, teams have been linked to Cowher in much stronger rumors before and he is not going to commit pre-maturely.
