http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...dolphins-bills-1220-20101219,0,1633607.column Is there seriously still people defending the worst HC and OC in the league? First Ed Reed came out and said our offense was predictable. You had Courtland Finnegan telling Marshall the routes he was running beforehand. Dan Henning is a laughingstock, as is Morono. Teams can't wait to play this unbelievably predictable offense.
Pretty sad... we've heard this numerous times from our opponents, and the commentators during the Bears game. Something's got to change, and its got to happen FAST. Especially with the better coaching options out there.
I don't know how Sparano and Henning keep their jobs after this ****. I really don't. I sometimes think I'd rather be 1-15 and being mocked for having no talent than to be where we are at right now.
The fans know this, the opposing teams know this, and the media is slowing admitting this. 2 more weeks.............
There are several examples every single game where the play calling simply does not make sense. I recall the thread weeks ago on Sparano addressing fans' opinions about Henne and knew it was the beginning of the end. I've been through too many coach and manager changes over the past 12 years to know the warning signs. The icing is just former players and current players openly criticizing and questioning decisions. Now someone needs to just blow out the candle so Don Meredith can sing turn out the lights...
Playing for FG's is playing not to lose, and playing not to lose, loses. Our offensive philosophy is a joke that only works when you're playing the easiest schedule in recent history, ala 2008. Real teams feast on this pathetic philosophy.
Someone said in another post that he wished they would fire Sparano / Henning now and let Nolen be the active coach for the next two games. I would be on board with this. We would then be able to put the henne/henning debate to rest.
I don't understand where you get that from, when we passed 45 times, and ran only 19 times during that game... against the 32nd (worst) run defense in the league. That gameplan of passing more than we run... against the worst run defense in the league... is a surefire way to throw a game away. Jesus... the only thing Buffalo does well is pass defense (7th in the league), everything else is bottom half or worse... I could make a better gameplan out of paper mache and pipe cleaners. So lets hold the obligatory Henne bias for another thread maybe?
Well that was because they probably taped our practice the day before !!!! I had to say something to laugh its been so depressing today.
1 TD + 3 interceptions > 4 missed FGs Great...coaching out of fear. If that is the case then why throw, EVER? You know, players fumble the ball as well... I understand not taking unnecessary chances when a team gets in the red zone, but these clowns start shutting down the offense in what should be called the "dead zone" between the 35 to 30 yard line. Dan Carpenter is good, but relying on him to kick enough 50 yard field goals to win a game is ridiculous coaching!
How do you feel about quick kicking on first down? Well I guess there is always the risk of a fumbled snap?
To be honest, I think that if they benched Henne and just ran wildcat exclusively, we would have had a better chance of beating Cleveland.
This is worrisome not just in the sense of Dan Henning but also as far as Sparano. Say you get an excellent play caller do you still have to deal with Sparano's poor clock management and in-game adjustments.
Why would anyone want to install Nolan as the interim head coach? That almost guarantees that he doesn't come back next year, unless it is as the head coach, which I don't want and I doubt many others do as well.
I think that if we had better receiving options than Moore, Wallace, Fasano, Mastrud & Bess we would've had a better chance of beating Cleveland. Seriously, there are COLLEGE TEAMS with better speed/talent than that. I know Henne isn't the second coming of Marino, but trying to run an offense with those crappy receivers AND no reliable running game, is asking a lot for any even a great QB. For an average/inexperienced guy, its next to impossible.
Yet Tom Brady has been making average receivers look great for a decade? Who is Masturd? Marshall because if so you can't be real? Henne is the problem his throws suck they are never on Target in a position for a WR to get yac! God putting down Marshall one of the leagues elite WRs while defending Henne is just garbage!
Mastrud is the backup tight end. Marshall didn't play that game so he wasn't an option for Henne.Perhaps knowing the roster would help your argument?
What really ticks me off is that we were playing for the FG despite Carpenter's performance. Look, I love Carpenter, and I believe he just had a bad game, but do not play for a FG when he is having such a performance.
Watch the guy coach. He's an NFL coach currently coaching a college team. I have no doubt he'll be one of the best head coaches in the NFL in no time. The guy knows offense. He knows QB's. Not sure the Jimmy Johnson statement is true however as most NFL coaches started off in the college ranks.
Is this a joke? Dude. You don't even know who the #2 TE is, and you're in here talking like you know what the problem is. Amazing.
What's sad is you're not even exaggerating. This is sadder than finding out your ding-dong doesn't work anymore. There's probably a dozen colleges with a better unit than that. Not sure why I'm laughing.
speak of the devil. I just watched Percy Harvin take a dump off pass and blow through everyone to the house. We see plays like that ALL THE TIME in Miami. Personally, I'm getting so accustomed to seeing them that they don't even phase me anymore. There like 2nd nature here.
Yeah it is so amazing that I don't know every scrub the Dolphins sign to be their second tight end! Martin, Haynos, Ebbs, the scrub from the Jets the list goes on! It pretty much changes weekly and is a joke! I don't waste time with players that will be delivering pizza's. The only joke is the fact that our front office has a guy like that on the field! The problem is very clear! Tuna decided to build this team around a LT. We have a glorified oline coach masquerading as our HC who can't game plan, make adjustments or manage a clock. His ridiculous field goal fist pumping mentality playing not to lose with a vintage 1950s offense and a OC from that era. Have decided to sack this roster on offense with big slow players, and a QB with serious negatives in his game that have been there since his first start at Michigan and haven't changed!
Yeah I have started to pay attention to him this year and there is no doubt he brings a lot to the table. Just a big jump from the PAC-10 to the NFL. Although his offense could never be worse then our current product!
