Maybe, but you're forgetting the two QB's they took in round 2, one of whom is out of the league, the other has major question marks. They also have taken 3 o-linemen, two of whom are cut, the other can't beat out some slob named McQuistan. Let's also not forget the immortal Patrick turner. Even Hartline is barely an NFL starter. Their track record on offense is horrible.

I see no evidence or reason to believe it will get better next year simply because they are concentrating on that side of the ball.

the evidence is lacking but they have done such a good job on the defensive side I would like to see them have a crack at an all offense draft.

I understand. I wouldn't hold my breath for great results if I was you. Espescially considering that you would have done a better job with the #1 pick in '07 then they did. It's a shame Ireland never read your numerous arguments in favor of Ryan.

This is the prevailing grace that rightfully exonerates Sparano to another year, and would leave ths fandom with egg on its face, if a change proved disasterous, and he and/or Ireland moved on as a result, and found success elsewhere.
The Henning factor remains the contentious hurdle, that would be best avoided by his retiring.

Henning is a goner. There are plenty of excellent choices available.

One is hiring Gruden in general, but I think we should wait on that. The best choice instead would be to get an older OC with a successful record like Al Saunders and try to put together a powerful run and play action based attack with the correct QB at the helm. Remember 2002 and how tough it was to stop that Chiefs offense? Get an accurate quarterback like Orton, sign a couple RBs, put together an excellent line and you have something. That's the kind of team you'd need to do it and even Sparano can't stop that.

This might come as a shock but......Cowher hasnt PROVEN he is a better head coach than ours. For that to be proven, they would have to be able to coach the same players against the same teams. Cowher has done more in 15 years than Sparano has in 3..granted. Some competition.

I agree with you on this.
The evidence was lacking BEFORE they drafted all those Defensive players also. Its the same argument, cant get a job without experience....cant get experience without a job.

The Head Coach and GM get far too much credit for winning and losing when they collectively have 30 plus people working for them that all go their seperate ways when the entire thing is ****canned.

Where were we? O' yeah, that Andy Reid guy that's been up there for how many years working with Tom Heckert? The thing doesn't fall apart when you lose a DC or OC or even a HC. It falls apart when you lose EVERYONE. That is the legacy that Dave Wannstedt left with this franchise.

    Problems in Miami

The problem is not limited to Sparano. The problem is not limited to Henne. The problem with Miami has not been solved despite high profile coaches like Jimmy or Parcells. Despite the greatest passer in NFL history, despite Brandon Marshall this year......and so many other high profile moves. Despite Fergie, and Marc Anthony, and Jay-Lo.

No, the dolphins biggest issue has been no BAD BOY MENTALITY, no swagger, no heart or attitude.

You want to talk about heart and passion everytime you step on the field? The Ravens defense is INTENSE. They play with attitude. Despite being older, despite injuries. That team always comes out with intensity and swagger. They make plays. They feed off of each other. OMG! If the Fins could channel half of that energy!!!

The Dolphins cans surprise you by playing hard or get blown out by a mediocre team. You never know!!

Despite owner changes and player changes and coaching changes................fans ofen get pumped with the coming of each season only to have thier heart broken by a team that often is not prepared to even com-peete, let alone win.

No one fears Miami. No opponent loses sleep over the fins. No matter who you bring in........or what players you pick up..........if you dont get up for a game....and without intense leaders and play makers..............i dont care what you do...same old story.
