No, it's the Marlins finishing a deal that has been going on for months.

It's a solid contract/signing especially with the way teams are spending this offseason. Now the Marlins have a 1/2 in the rotation signed long term going into a new stadium.

Anyboy have a size 48 marlins jersey from the 90's? I'd be willing to trade for it if you want or buy it. I have a size 52. PM me.

The thread title STILL hasn’t been fixed? I see Boik is abusing his power. Again. :shifty:

    Anyway, Barry Jackson.

Yeah, he’s been the GM for three years now. Beinfest is the President of Baseball Operations.

    Bozo opened his yap again.

Because this same line worked out so well last year!

To be fair, they actually were aggressive this offseason to fill the needs, unlike last year when they threw stuff at the wall to see if it stuck.

We’ll see. I remain pessimistic about this club’s chances of anything, especially with the Phillies doing their best Miami Heat imitation.

    Baseball’s back, fellas.

First pitch Stanton saw, he hit it to another planet. Unfortunately, he strained his right quad while running out a ground ball in his 2nd AB. He did walk off on his own power, though.

    Canes win 9-8.

The Stanton shot was amazing from what I heard from an eye witness. One of my Canes friends went up to Jupiter to see the game and he said he's never seen such raw power in person. Was worthy, he said, of any Galarraga, McGwire, Sosa or Bonds home run he ever saw in person.

Now that the NFLPA has decertified, we can start talking about baseball.

Who’s going to be there on opening day?

I wouldn’t be opposed to starting a new thread on opening day with a non-Boiked title.

    Fine with me.

The two biggest positives I can take from the spring so far is Vasquez hitting 91 and Dominguez not looking over matched.

Btw, I'm loving Gaby more and more and more. He doesn't take any sh!t and just goes out there and plays. And he also "gets it" as a leader. He seems like a guy who will have a nice (non HOF), long career with a team.

Let’s hope so. Right now I’m looking for Hanley to mature and for the pitching and defense to not be Comedy Central material every night.

Volstad pitched well today, 5 IP 1 ER. Another loss though.

The original title was “Still better than the Mets”. I don’t know if Mainge still wants that.
