http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/12/23/woody-johnson-apologizes-to-kraft-ross/ The Top guy does his thing, something those under him should take note of imho. Thanks Mr. Johnson, a tip of the brim to you, Sir.
It is just a shame that he hires coaches who conduct themselves in this manner in the first place. It is a very easy thing to apologize for the actions of others. Perhaps I would view him in a better light if he didn't have these type of coaches working for him in the first place. I wouldn't say that he showed class by apologizing. I think he did what was expected of him. Since he is the owner of the franchise and the man responsible for hiring these individuals who work for him.
Woody Johnson was the same guy who showed up to Wellington Mara's funeral wearing a Jets hat to send a message. He doesn't have much class. EDIT: Allegedly.
It was a rumor before that call. I didn't even hear it on Francesa's show. Heard it on Joe and Evan from one of the Jets beat writers. I have no clue whether or not it's true but that's a pretty bad rumor to start spreading.
He is not a top guy, in fact he loves all that controversy that Ryan brings because it puts him on the back page of every NY paper. Controversy sells.
Woody Johnson is an idealist and he assumes his team is totally on board with him as being superior human beings. He takes a blind eye and has to be slapped in the face with it before he acknowledges that his organization is rife with a-holes.
*Meh*, that's simply doing what you have to do, to me. I wouldn't say it's that CLASSY per sey. After all, he is the guy that hired these guys, or hired the guy that hired them, etc.
Yeah...and I've heard Francesa discuss this as fact. I heard it discussed by many sources including on the NFLN...he wore the hat. Who cares about the message from that trust fund baby. He's a little worm. Appreciate GA bringing this story to our attention though, but I still don't like Woody.
