Alright if Bess did step out, but came back into bounds, the ball was tipped and he could then touch it..TD Bess..should be
But it was tipped before he went out. Looks like there wasn't enough evidence to overturn it. Sent from my Samsung Moment via Tapatalk
TD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If Hill did not tip it, he could have been flagged for going out of bounds and being the first one to touch the ball when he came back in bounds
He's much better out of this formation, but he's still staring off some WRs. Needs to change that up, but that comes with time. That white bag has been on the field all game.
Wow, how sweet would it have been to recover that one and possibly come away with 3 more before the half.
We all know luck is a big part of football. Remember Roethlisberger's fumble that was a TD but then wasn't a TD?
17 pts?!?! Alrighty though, the weakness in the no huddle/shotgun offense is Db's can blitz it and if the Qb doesn't read that blitz they will get crushed. Ben R is so large it is as not as much of an issue, but Henne to his credit has handled it well so far.
I know McQuistan's been a bit crappy to say the least, but how's Incognito up front? The rush averages are certainly better. That's right on the no huddle/spread weakness, however you minimize that drastically if you run the ball well out of that set. Run it straight up the gut against the front you might see results (if you had better linemen).
What sucks is that was only like the 2nd or 3rd pass I can remember where a DB come close to picking it off but didn't (seems to happen routinely in other games, hell just our dbs miss a ton). Better to get some luck late than never, but man lol.
With the no huddle shotgun formation even that is not as much of an issue as the ball is coming out in less than 2 seconds when things are going well, a Db has no time to close anyway.
Yep, Richie is handling Suh fairly easily surprisingly enough, the middle of the oline is no longer clogged with bodies. BTW, Bess made one heck of a catch on that TD, that ball was tipped and he had -0- problems catching that ball for the TD.
A few were because of players slipping. But no doubt that last pas was really the one that was completely Henne.
Henne throwing into the wind the way he is should be something to consider for the future when this team is making playoff runs late in the season in crappy weather. No way a Penny type guy has the 2nd qtr performance that Henne does IMO.
Incognito has to stay at C if that's the case next year. I'd like to see how he takes on Vince next week that's a big deal to me. Try to salvage everything out of this season so you can focus on other needs. Now here's the question. Miami has to stay aggressive here now when they're ahead.
Like I've said before, IMO the offense needs to be sped up at times to get Chad into a rhythm and then KEEP him there rather than going to the WC etc.
Exactly Jaj, this is another area Henning falls down in, use it until they stop it, no exceptions, do not try to out clever them, do not try to run some BS like an end around.
Ive been saying it since I saw him play his best game in college when he torched the gators...it seems to take away some of the thinking, and progression time.
