I'm not at home so I only got to follow Gamecast and highlights. But the young man did well in his second NFL start. Brought Denver back from 17-0 a 3rd quarter deficit to win 24-23. Tebow finished with 16/29 for 310 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT. Also had 30 yards and 1 TD rushing. Saw him successfully throw down the field as well. Will be interesting to see if he can continue getting better as teams adjust to him. Good game young man.
Tebow showed more fire on that final drive than Henne has shown all year. I'm not trying to bash Henne, necessarily, but the difference between the two of them is stunning. All Tebow does (and has ever does) is win. That has to count for something.
That's what emotion will do for you. You might get made fun of a little for it sometimes [I'm guilty myself of laughing at Tebow a little for the crying] but that fire and passion will help you a lot in something as competitive as pro football. We need a QB with fire, or for Henne to shed his 'robot' reputation and get that fire and drive to win no matter what.
Never has there been a QB who has been so roundly criticized by the experts and gurus .He may not be the classic dropback passer but he has the intangibles to make a good NFL QB .All he does is find a way to win and isnt that what the game all about ? I hate to say it but I would rather have Tebow as our QB over Henne at this stage. I watched most of the game and he was cool and collected and exhibited great leadership.
Watch this guy turn out to be another good to great QB while we continue to flounder around for decades looking for Marino's replacement
Even if he is a Gator, I still want him on my Dolphins. I can't stand him, or his phoney baloney Christian schtick. But I have to admit, Tebow has a fire to win in his little pinkie, that seems to be more than I have seen in Henne's whole body. I never see any kind of urgency in Henne whatsoever. He may have been the worst type of personality to have no competition. He would either sink or swim under that kind of fire.
He won it as much as Schaub lost it at the end. Texans were driving for the win and then Schaub throws a horrible interception that gave Denver the win. Houston was up big and should have won. They blew that game.
I don't think your using phoney baloney for his belief is warranted, whether you beieve in what he espouses or not , he is totally real in his faith , imo.
I respect Tebow for his stand, he does not push himself or his beliefs on anyone, yet he does not shy away either! As to him being an NFL QB the naysayers and their whinning of his to long windup, bad footwork, bla, bla, and bla never, it seems to me take into account his heart, passion, and drive! People follow that kind of leadership and its that Alpha type that always rises to the top, no matter what!! Yes I'd take him any day over the guy we've got!
I don't care about his beliefs. All he does is win football games. He has the ability to raise those around him to play to win. As for his emotion or those of any other QB it doesn't matter. I saw Henne excited out there today and they still lost. Get over the emotional bull**** angle.
Take that Warren Sapp! http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...p-rips-tim-tebow-by-ripping-two-ex-teammates/
Yeah, it's gonna be fun watchin' all the experts eat their words. Wish we had him, then again our coaching staff probably would have tried to turn him into a devil worshiper... "What's that Pat White, you're comfortable playing with gloves and you've always played with gloves...Take off your gloves!" "What that Tim Tebow, you have extreme faith in our lord Jesus Christ...Hail Satan!"
Consider this quote by n NFL head coach about the boy he had just drafted: This was Mike Ditka explaining why Danny Wuerffel would succeed at the NFL level. For every Tebow there is a Danny Wuerffel who 'just wins' and has the 'heart of a champion' and 'should never be counted out' etc etc... then they get drafted and bust in the NFL. Ditka learned that the hard way with Wuerffel (another Gator alum, btw). So while it's great that Tebow is succeeding, it's because he has BOTH the athletic ability (big enough, fast enough, good enough arm, etc) AND the character and passion to make it at this level. Not just passion and heart.
exactly. wait til the nfl game film of tebow is under defensive coordinator eyeballs next season. then tell me how he's doing. I hope well, sincerely. But it'll get harder before it gets easier, and that's the truth.
your Avatar speaks volumes! As for Tebows passion being bull**@@ I'll take that over "Mr. Robot" any day of the week and sure as @*@* twice on Sunday!
