I for one would personally love to tell him to kiss my arse. I have been a fan since the day I was born in 1972. I have been to game in the OB long before he was born. I have seen us have success long before he was born. I have seen this team suffer its fair share of misery, some of which has been under his playing time and mostly since he has been born.

I have stuck with this team through thick and thin. What have we gotten back as fans? What have I gotten back? No Super Bowl appearances since 1984. No AFCG since 1992.

We have gone from being an elite team in the NFL to one that was respected to one that has now been long time mediocre and far from being relevant.

If I want to boo your arse off the field because of the way you are playing, and spending my hard earned money to do so, then I by gawd will boo the crap out of you when you are playing like crap.

Channing...more often than not you are part of the mediocre. I wish you could be dumped, because your mouth keeps writing checks that your play still hasn't cashed.

As fans...LONG SUFFERING FANS...we deserve better and we demand it. If you aren't giving us better then we will tell you as so!

That is our right as fans. It is about time you lived up to your right as a player to put a quality product out there on the field that competes for championships. This franchise deserves better than it is getting and has gotten.

    Screw this loser.

Seriously, you're a freakin pro. Who cares about booing? And feel free to make a play more than once every five years Channing.

His best play is riding the bike on the sideline.

A whole team of loser, whiny bum babies.

Everyone certainly has the right to boo when they see fit.

But at the same time, you can't be upset that those who do boo are labeled as 'fair weather'.

When it come to the Dolphins. I haven't seen any fair weather from this team. Except for one time in the last 10 plus years. That one fair weather year was 2008 when the the Dolphins actually made the playoffs. Other than that year. The Dolphins have played as if the weather is always stormy for most of the last decade. Of course Crowher is known more for his yapping on the field than his actual play. So him making a statement like this is like the pot calling the kettle black.

Pathetic? Nah. Henne sucks so I agreed with those chants. Maybe those people screaming Henne sucks will wake Ross up so he handles business and cleans house. Starting with Henne and that senile fool Henning.

Any fan that pays his hard cash for a ticket or spends his free time on a message board isn't "fair weather" to me. Time = Money and either way we as fans are putting something into this.

He needs to remember if you are an entertainer, you will be either cheered or booed for your performance. If they want us to stop booing, they can start winning. The best way to get a reaction you want is to give the fans a performance they want.

The only true thing in this thread is that Crowder talks way to much and plays way to little.

I have no problems with the boos, the other chants sound like things the Jet fans do all the time, yeah you know the team and fans we always bash for doing the same stuff.

If Channing thinks the fans here are too "fair weather" for booing I hope he never has the misfortune of playing for the Eagles.

He'd be taking snowballs to the back while riding the exercise bike on the sideline.

if we are fair weather fans is Crowder less than a fair weather player?

“If you cheer when times are going good and boo when times are going bad we don’t really need you as fans any way,” Crowder said,

MEMO TO CROWDER: You do because we are the ones that spend our money so that YOU can make millions playing a sport. Your team played like crap, you got boo'd get over it.

You know it is funny that when the the Dolphins send me the renewal notice for my season tickets each year. Not once have they ever stated that they did not want me to purchase tickets if I had booed the team the previous year. All they are concerned with is that I get my payment in on time. Perhaps Ross and the the marketing staff need to have a talk with Crowder about his views on the fans who pay his salary. Also, if he has checked the stands during the last three home games. He will soon realize that thousands of fans have already taken his advice and they quit attending the games.
If he isn't sure what I am talking about. He should just look at the replay of the yesterday's game and take a look at the stands where thousands of fans were disguised as empty seats. If he thought the booing was bad yesterday. Imagine what the booing would have sounded like if all those fans actually showed up at the game.

Thats just it. Sure its ok to boo in disapproval, but when you start chants calling people out personally, its pathetic. If that's what Crowder is talking about, I support him 110%. I dont give a damn how hard those losers in the stands had to work to pay for their damn ticket, its a disgrace. Its not like these guys on this team are going out there and getting their asses handed to them on purpose.

You have a right to boo the team as a whole. But the targeting of specific players with chants, etc. by the home crowd just makes me lose faith in society.

The fact that it happened, when it happened, so synchronously at our stadium yesterday makes me truly give up on our fanbase as a whole.

I know we have a lot of great fans around the world. Many of which frequent this here site. But yesterday was landmark for me personally. Yesterday was the first time I felt like the a large percentage of fans who attend games at our stadium don't deserve to root for a winner.

Those who participated in this, they are the DEFINITION of fair-weather fans, with the added element of classlessness and sheer stupidity.

Opinions naturally differ on many things. But for the life of me I cannot comprehend how people don't 'get' this.

Most of us love the Dolphins just fine. We LOVE the franchise. We just HATE what these players are DOING to our beloved team.

I'll be a Dolphins fan either cheering or groaning, or unable to bear the pain anymore, log after the next set of draft picks come and go.

I cheer for the uniform, and these players and coaches are crapping on a uniform I love with their poor play.

That's what I would be booing.

I agree with Crowder. How is it right to boo the players when they're not the ones running the show. If you want to boo the 53 man team, then find another team to root for rather than showing a display of classlessness. This team plays hard and deserves better support from its fans. It's easy to root for your team when things are going great, but it's the tough times that show what fans are made of.... and it's the tough times when teams need its fans' support the most.

Not running the show. True. But they are the ones executing, or should I say lack of executing the plays. Booing is a fans right.....like it or not. Is it right.....I don't think so, but it is their right to express there displeasure.

Maybe the fans should just not go to the games next year. Then we could have some more of the Wanny days when there were more opposing teams fans then ours and the cameras didn't pan more then half way up because the freaking stadium was empty. Then maybe Crowder could take a pay cut because revenue is down. But hey at least everyone would be cheering him for the beast he isnt

I want to agree with you in more than principle, but I can't. I can't because I wasn't there this weekend to see the Dolphins lose their 7th home game this season and third in a row to the likes of the Bills, Browns, and Lions. I didn't have to pay money to see them this year, or expend the time and effort to do anything but pony up for a couple of beers and burgers at the bar. I think what they did was classless, but I honestly can't say if I wouldn't have done the same if I was in their shoes, because it's cheap and easy for me to type words on a message board. They're the ones that go through the hassle and investment and get nothing for it in return.

It's the same fan base that cheered orgasmically for Joey Porter when he was a DPOY candidate ..and then a year later was booing him and calling him a bum, sometimes to his face in public.

The same fan base that gets 13 years of play from JT, and then when he refuses to retire and plays one year with the Jets, they turn on him unmercifully.

Seriously, what's the difference between doing this to Henne as he prepared for the final drive and Dan Carpenter as he lines up for a game-winning FG?

Shows you how asinine and counter-productive our behavior was yesterday.

    Exactly.

Imagine what it's like for these people's families at the game. What if this were your brother, father, son, etc.? Would you give a damn then? The target yesterday....his wife lives and dies with every play. And she's been seen weeping while fans 'express their displeasure'.

I understand the fanbase is frustrated. Hell, we're ALL frustrated. But that doesn't make it right for you to be a ******** about it.

    EDIT: 'you' meaning in general.

This is "sammy sucks" all over again.

I was at the stadium that day and almost got into a fist fight with fellow dolphin fans. Really? We attack OUR players now?

and I get dirty looks when I get on the opposition sometimes.

A small tip...insults, chants, nastiness, and unpleasant behavior...direct it at the guys on the other team. But no, we sure have zeal and energy to hate on our own. It's our move.

If this is the way you express dissatisfaction with goods/services in real life, I can't imagine you get a lot of cooperation from the other side. In fact, I think your chances of being assaulted are significantly higher

IMO, some people feel like they're immune in sports. Like things they would never say or do in real life are perfectly acceptable in the stands at a sporting event.

It's tough when Channing Crowder is basically right. Miami fans right now, unfortunately, cannot hold a torch to Green Bay, Dallas or Pittsburgh fans.

They too would be in a frenzy in our situation, but they wouldn't boo specific players (specific interceptions? absolutely).

I shouldn't give you guys any more ammunition, but what the heck.

I was at a game back in the mid 90's. Boomer Esiason was the Jets QB and the fanbase was getting tired off his inconsistent play (his arm was pretty shot by then). Midway through the game, Esiason got sacked and he was clearly hurt as he just lay on the turf. The stadium burst into a loud, prolonged cheer. I was mortified. I almost got into a fight with the idiots behind me that were cheering with everyone else. I could not believe that they were cheering because Esiason was hurt and had to come out of the game. It sickened me.

Something happens when you gather tens of thousands of people together at a sporting event. They have a propensity to turn into idiots.
