Because nothing says bad *** than soaping up another wrestler in the shower. I bet Pat Patterson or The Brooklyn Brawler were pissed JBL was way after their time.

I'm not sure would was a bigger a-hole to the younger guys, JBL or Bob Holly. I'll go with Holly, even though he learned his lesson the hard way with a Brock Lesnar neck breaker (literally).

It really is a toss up Ray. Both of those guys were grade A *******s. At least Bob Holly gave back in the regard that he DID mentor some of the younger guys. JBL pretty much just tortured them for his own enjoyment.

    But yeah...flip a coin.

Just got done listening to the Simmons/Miz podcast. I really enjoyed it. The Miz came off really well in the interview and made me like him that much more. You can tell both Simmons and The Miz were having fun with the podcast, especially during the MTV parts as I'm sure The Miz doesn't do too many interviews where they get in depth with Real World talk.

The only two things that I didn't really came from Bill Simmons, who I do like most of the time. The first one was when he 'proposed' John Cena putting on a mask and pretending to be someone else. It was kind of obvious that Simmons had done some research before hand and was trying to sound smart to the non wrestling fans, I think he was expecting Miz to say that's what's going to happen thus making Bill look good but Miz stayed in character and kind of brushed it aside saying he doesn't know what's going to happen. And the other was Simmons not knowing Chris Jericho was a former World Champion when Simmons had done two running WWE column diaries where Jericho was the World Champion in them, and one of those columns was in April for this year's WM. Maybe it was just a brain fart on his part but he should have known that.

Also, it will be Edge vs Kane in a TLC Match.

You'd have to think Edge will finally win the title here, especially with Smackdown's ratings tanking on the new network.

Smackdown has been complete silliness the past few weeks.
Pretty much a Scooby Doo cartoon.

NXT Rookie Connar O'Brien is one to watch. Formalyl known as Ryan O'Reilly, he was to be calle dup to ECW when Heyman ran it, only to quit on the eve of his call up due to family issues. Johnny Curtis has been in development for 3 years, time to **** or get off the pot with him.

What about Byron Saxton? He has an interesting look to him, IMO.

Saxton was the ECW commentator towards the end of its run there and wasn't very good. He transitioned back into the ring to try and make a go of it as a wrestler. He somehow managed to fine something he sucked at more than commentating. I don't hold out hope for him outside of people possibly recognizing him as that announcer guy.

They couldn't have thought of a better storyline to get Cena rehired?

Last night's show was very...blah. Nothing outright offensive for me, but nothing to memorable at all. Treaded water, which happens I suppose. Not the best way to get Cena back on the "official," roster, but I don't have a way of doing it better. They really should have kept him off of tv for a couple of weeks. I mean, a fired guy who has his music playing after attacking the talent?

Although I did get a chuckle of him handing Punk his diet soda after spilling it last week. Speaking of which, Punk was pretty good again this week. Toned down somewhat from last, but the Manson shirt and the Michael Cole imitation while doing the e-mail gag was funny. He looks awfully tiny in that sport suit though. Doesn't even look like a wrestler actually.

Hopefully next week is better, or at least, more memorable.

Yeah I agree with everything you said. I would have liked Cena to disappear until the Royal Rumble match being a surprise. His return could be explained that he was hired by Smackdown and since he won he can now officially face any champion he wants. He could say he's going to challenge the RAW champion, therefore he's back on RAW now. I've said countless times too that if he disappeared and came back I wish he would change his wrestling attire but obviously that's not going to happen. Too bad because I think the shorts look is dumb.

As for CM Punk, he doesn't look like a wrestler because he's not allowed to take PEDs. But I know what you mean. He is great on the mike though, almost too good to go back to being an active wrestler. Too bad we'd never get a Punk/JR team.

Anyone else hear/read Shane Helms comments on Shawn Michaels on his podcast? For those of you that didn't hear or read about it basically Helms was asked which wrestler disappointed him or something like that and he said HBK and that he thinks Michaels being a born again is BS because he goes hunting and that he's a millionaire he doesn't need to do that and that Jesus never killed animals with a rifle. It was really out there for sure. He has also been attacking him on twitter. HBK responded that he doesn't care what's said about him because he's over the high school stuff. What is it with those Omega boys? They all come off as whiny babies, geez.

Also there were rumors that Jeff Hardy showed up drunk for the TNA PPV and was almost stripped of the title and taken off the show but apparently he was just tired (?). So of course big brother Matt is going nuts on twitter bashing the web for starting rumors.

Seriously I could really do without ever having to hear about either Hardy or Helms again.

The TLC PPV seemed like the typical December PPV dud. Nothing really important or interesting happened outside of Edge finally taking the title off of Kane and John Morrison beating Sheamus and is now the #1 contender to the WWE title. Hopefully the WWE really plays into the whole Miz/Morrison former tag team partner angle and each one trying to prove that they're not the 'Jannetty' of the team (which is something both guys say to each other backstage etc).

  16. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

Miz/Morrison at the Royal Rumble is probably a go. The Rumble match itself is typically the main event so having that as the championship match could work.

I assume that HHH will be back for Rumble as well. Perhaps even as a surprise enterant after Sheamus has cleared the ring of everyone after his "Diesel" moment.

It was a good ppv as the matches for the most part were fairly interesting. Yes, good call samphin on the Morrison deal.

Yea, HHH will be a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble to try and get a Cena like pop, and I would think it should since hes been out what, 9 months?

I have to admit the Vicky Guerrero segment had me laughing a bit.

looks like punk will be back sooner than later.

  20. Samphin

I watched up until about halfway through the Cena match. Missed the Punk interference, but Punk/Cena is a fun thought for a program.

Two long matches on Raw was good. And I think we saw Regal's last match. That was the feeling I took from that match anyway. I would love to see him as a figurehead/manager if he so chooses.

Quality night from what I saw. I am liking the youth movement still towards the top of the card. This is typically the time of year that they try new guys out up there to see what sticks and I think they have more success on their hands this year than in years past.

Good to have Nexus take a little bit of time off as well. I assume they are back in some capactiy next week. Not exactly sure where they go from here, but I hope they stay together one wya or another. Perhaps go to Smackdown and try their luck their? Or start a storyline where they spread out and try to gain power/momentum by procurring all of the belts in the WWE. Tag, US, Intercontinental, Diva's (obviously would have to add a female influence), and of course, the World Titles.

Not sure. But good storytelling all the way around.

I think NEXUS (minus Wade Barrett) and Sheamus should be moved to Smackdown now and let the heel group of Miz, Barrett and Punk run wild on RAW with the continued pushes of Morrison and Bryan.

While I'm glad the WWE is going to be giving Punk a top program with Cena, I can't help but think he's just going to get buried like everyone does against Cena.

  22. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

Punk won't come out on top of that feud. Cena is the Alpha Dog so he will win the feud. I am surprised though because Punk is months away from being able to wrestle. So one has got to think that he will have another muse or two to set up in front of Cena before Punk actually gets in the ring.

It would be great if this attack was spawned because of Cena spilling his Diet Soda a few weeks back and Punk becoming totally indignant about it.

Not a bad idea about Nexus heading to Smackdown. Seeing them attack Show in a pack could be kind of cool. I don't think Sheamus moves though since they still have a money wrap around feud with HHH to pay off and no way does HHH chase him to Smackdown.

I think a Cena/Punk war of worlds for a few months would be pretty good. Too bad Punk's stable was taken away because that would give something for Cena to do before Punk is ready to go (although that might be too much like the Barrett/Nexus angle).

Fine, move Sheamus to Smackdown after his program with Triple H at WM, then he can finally get a REAL push and dominate. Have him come in and absolutely destroy Edge (although I'd love to see an Edge/Christian WM for the Title program in the meantime as kind of a thank you to Christian for his hard work) and give him a Triple H of 2000 type run where yes he's a heel but he's still a monster and doesn't need to cheat all the time to win. I feel like Sheamus besides from his KOTR win, he hasn't done anything meaningful since his 1 title victory over the summer. He's basically an Earthquake type monster jobber at this point.

I dont see Christian/Edge for the title for the simple fact that Vince hates Christian and does not believe he is a main event superstar and wont draw anyone in

Yet he let Kane hold onto the title for 5 plus months. Not arguing with your logic though since it's probably true in Vince's mind but it's not like Edge vs. anyone else on Smackdown right now for the SD title is going to draw in more buys anyway. I actually think an Edge/Christian feud would be something fresh since both guys have great chemistry together.

I personally would love it, I love Christian and i believe he is so underrated, him on the mic is gold and he is great in the ring.

  27. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

Christian screwed himself when he went ot TNA. At least in terms of being a main event player for the WWE upon his return. Vince demands loyalty from his subjects. There is a reason why Kane ie rewarded with a title run after more than a decade of playing the same character with crappy storylines over and over again. The guy is a team player who comes ot work everyday and makes the best out of what he has to work with.

Christian, in Vince's eyes, is not loyal and as such, was selfish. Plus, he is small by main event standards (and WAY small by Vince's), so in his eyes, Christian is only here to collect a paycheck and thus, can't be trusted to main event anything. Not syaing it is right, just how it is. I think Christian knows this as well. He will get his time, but it won't be long and if he gets seriously injured again, he will be stuck in MAtt Hardy-ville in terms of where he can go on the card.

I thought Cena heard Punk say "hey don't spill my diet soda", and then proceeded to save the soda and hand it to punk just to have punk toss it aside to the ground. That's what I remember unless there was another instance.

  29. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

That was after spilling it the week before, actually.

The word coming down is that the Punk/Cena feud will culminate at Wrestlemania. Which, if true, means that Punk will probably be headlining, or at least co-headlining.

    Good for him.

ok well then that would make sense. Punk in uniform tonight for a chair shot to cena to end the show. As if Cena was going to AA Vicky anyway.

Smart putting Ziggler in that little feud with Cena as it will get him over more so than before.

Ziggler was bringing the goods tonight. He looked like he belonged. He also has the top match of 2010, according to 2010. His match with Daniel Bryan tied for first with HBK/Undertaker.

Kaval was released today. I was afraid this was going to happen after the complete decimation of his character on Smackdown this week. Wrestling 101 for those that don't know. You get squashed out of no where without having a feud, and you are about to get released. I'm assuming that he pissed someone off. Good wrestler, but he didn't connect with folks like Danielson did, which means his time was limited. Have him go back to TNA for a third time, or ROH and I am happy. He won't have a hard time finding work.

Jeff Hardy to plead guilty next month in his drug case. He was raided last year in September and was found with a ton of drugs on him. Not sure what the guilty plea will net him in terms of prison time (if any). I assume some sort of deal was met so that if he pled guilty, he gets less time than if he fought it and lost. I assume the belt will be taken off him the next chance they get?

The question will be who they give it to. I assume Kennedy or Morgan, although it would be great to have Hardy issue an open challenge and have someone out of the blue win it for a sort of newsy shock value thing. But I doubt that happens.

Was it taken away? Awesome ending to another solid show...it seems that they cut allot of the fat on these shows and more of the story lines mean something now. Another step in the right direction for wwe.

Barrett will save Cena in the near future mark my words.

So who does Punk focus on now?? HHH? The writers may find themselves very busy in the next few days.

  40. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

Depends on how hurt he is. If he is going to be out for a month or so, I think you still have Punk come out, cut promos against Cena and tell him that this is karma for not actually leaving when he said he would. It is funny because the feud is between Punk and Cena and both are injured. I am pretty sure they gave Punk Nexus becaus ehe can't quite yet go in the ring. He will be out until sometime in January at best.

If Cena is out for MONTHS, then I say you have Punk come out and take credit for ridding the WWE of Cena and following through on his word, unlike Cena. Then I have him shift focus to Orton who is red hot and would be another great feud for Punk. That leaves Sheamus with not a whole lot to do, but I assume we are close to having HHH come back so maybe you hastily have HHH come back to kickstart that feud a tad earlier than anticipated?

Lots of rumors of Brock Lesnar coming back as well.
