Teams are going to wait to make coaching moves until they know they have time to put in a new system.

There is no FA until there is a new deal.

No idea who will be a FA, until there is a new deal.

Cannot trade a player for a pick, until a new deal is done.

VG chance the draft will happen before FA, not a bad idea.

We will all be bored to tears with nothing happening until the end of April.

Our team needs to make moves, and this could kill many of them.

    I'm MAD AS HELL!!!

    Anyone else?

There has already been as many coaching moves this season before the offseason as there were all of last season.

My post was meant for informational purposes only, pigs really can fly, and I saw SATAN throwing snowballs in South Beach on New Year's Eve. :)

Well, I suspect most of the coaching moves that will be made have been made due to the structure of the lockout, it is better to hire someone who is already there than to reach for someone outside of the organization due to time constraints.

As for the CBA, no not really SB, we have seen it in Miami, a player signs a contract and they can be gone in 2 seconds, they can blow out knees or ankles or what have you and just be done, so for me, I will not bag on pro athletes for trying to get what they can get because when they hit 35..they is done..often times they are done at 30.

Imo the Owners are being far to greedy and asking for far to much, the NFL is a growth industry and they are talking about 'take backs'?

Really? Then when do the players see raises?

Timing means little to bad teams. I have not seen any changes in teams who believe they will be a playoff team.

They are? Our team sucks and we need more time than most! Honestly this may be a reason Sparano gets to keep his JOB! What a shame.

The owners, in the end, will get what they want most, and that's a rookie pool...

Padre, Agee on coaching moves. Not taking sides in the CBA battle, just saying it will hurt teams in making player moves, as it will drag on. This hurts us.

why would you make a coaching change when that coach is taking you to the playoffs?unless theer is something drasticly wrong with the coach..ala rex ryan and his many bad p.r issues this year but i highly doubt the jets orginization fires ryan due to his wife having a foot fetish, getting busted trying to hurt players, making their organization look like a bunch of hoodlums and thugs on hardknocks.you don't make coaching changes when you are 12-4 unless your owner is jerra or maybe the crypt keeper in oakland but neither are playoff teams and it looks like their coaches will be retained atm.we still have a few weeks till superbowl to get the cba done.this is bigger than just the nfl and it's players.

nfl network would probly tank due to having nothing interesting to report and having to start playing reruns of old games or highschool/college game of the weeks.sponsors like nike who have been brought on to change the uniforms would also lose out in this.

as far as our team not being able to make fa moves and whatnot doesn't seem to hurt us really when the other 31 teams can't do it either.

it was borderline last minute the last time a cba was done if i remember correctly.if nothing is done come the end of the pro-bowl then i start worrying.

Why would a good team fire their couch?

I meant teams believing they are playoff caliber next season, like a Dallas for example. But, you knew that. :)
