but he will not play for Miami or Sparano. He also has some choice words for those who say Sparano is staying (Vonte this might be directed at you). Needless to say, Ricky is pissed and I don't blame him. http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thed...k-on-criticism-of-tony-sparano-and-teammates/
Ricky Williams Goes Off http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thedailydolphin/2011/01/03/an-angry-reflective-ricky-williams-says-hes-likely-done-with-the-dolphins-doesnt-hold-back-on-criticism-of-tony-sparano-and-teammates/
Sigh.....what more evidence do we need folks!? RW is not the kind of guy to pop off like that without good reason, the writing is on the wall.
Been making this point for a while now. Nice to see it finally validated from someone in the locker room.
Yes, he tells it like he sees it as soon as he is one of the players notified: "Good luck with your future. We will not be needing your (fumbling) services any longer."
Holy crap. That certainly is contrary to the Will Allen interview and IMO mirrors the mind set of a team that to me looked like they had clearly given up on themselves and their coach against the Pats.
"When asked about the main difference between the Patriots and Dolphins, he replied, “They have a quarterback.” Chad Henne finished the season with 15 touchdowns and 19 interceptions and was benched twice. " that really does say it all
http://www.wqam.com/index.php?page=347&sid=05slscc4lfbjnreeool1vpc67cejm1vc Listen for yourselves, Volin is spinning, RW said more or less he did not like Sparano's style personally because he likes to figure things out on his own, he also never said "he lost the locker room" he also did not specifically say "they were full of ****" he said "whenever in the past players said that.." RW did say there were times during the run up to the NE game that he did not feel they were preparing as well as they could be which is odd as he also did not like the micromanaging? The more informative things (imho) is Williams speaking about the difference between how hard the pats played when they had nothing to gain, and how poorly the dolphins played when they had everything to gain. Also like the bit about Chad Henne turning the wrong way on a handoff attempt..in wk #17 Volin got his panties in a wad because BM flounced off one of his questions
God I love me some Ricky right about now.....he is a straight shooter and these FACTS couldnt come from a more credable source inside the locker room. Elephant sh-t indeed my friend.
If you're going to try and split the debate solely to Henne you're leaving out a large majority of the interview. I could have predicted this from you with little trouble. Before you even respond about "Henne supporters" trying to lay all the blame on the coaching staff you can't go there. I don't know anyone that has said there are no issues with Henne. Just that there are larger issues with the ones captaining the ship. Regardless there are definitely issues with this team. I have my view you have yours. I'll give you Henne getting cut as long as Henning and Lee are out and feel ok about it.
Meh. Ricky Williams is part of the problem. Always has been. Just look at his attitude. He wants to quit this team and go to another because it is too hard to stay and help fix the problem that he had a hand in creating (throughout the years). **** him. He doesn't get a pass just because he decides to **** all over the franchise again. Good riddance to Ricky. Go to New England. All of a sudden you want to play more? What happened to wanting to be part of a team? Liking the fact that you split carries? Not wearing yourself out? Oh right...as you said, you are full of ****. Hopefully Sparano follows him out the door.
So the fumbler doesn't like details, he thinks we don't have a QB, and he thinks success (in NE) breeds success. Thank you captain obvious.
Hmmm....why do I get the sense you don't understand Ricky Williams or the situation that happened with him leaving at all?
Unfortunately, seems to be the case with every player that has left Miami, or any other franchise for that matter, and has played for New England.
IMO that's the problem I have with Sparano---- that he prioritizes micromanaging, being perfect in the X's, O's, and all the little things SO MUCH that he forgets that this is FOOTBALL, and that sometimes having things like "playmakers" etc can nullify the need to have perfect execution on EVERY friggin play to succeed. The way he and Henning talk, you'd think that there's not 11 talented guys on the other team trying to stop us.
That he is a big whiny baby who asked to get the ball 30 times a game and then quit because he got the ball 30 times a game. That and he thought Jamie Nails was awesome. That he went to India, found pot and peace and just gave a radio interview that proves how much peach he can get from pot.
Who actually knew the first day of the offseason for the Dolphins would end up more exciting than the entire season under Sparano's watch... That and I'm drunker than a bag full of azzholes....
Where you been? The same people worshipping at the Henne alter are the same people wanting a coaching change. Don't throw out the "split debate" accussation when he hasn't been been pointing to the hypocrisy of that abandoned alter.
the only difference between a 14-2 Patriots and a 7-9 Dolphins team is a QB. Seems pretty straight forward to me. or is the damning part that sparano keeps repeating the importance of turnovers and red zone scoring, 3rd down conversions too much for Ricky?
Why? I knew, reading that portion, that it would draw this exact response. He was asked a simple question. He gave a simple answer. And it's right! They have a guy named Tom Brady. Last I checked, he's pretty damn good. We have a second-year starter named Chad Henne, who just had a pretty ****ty season. So yes. That statement is 100% accurate by Williams. But, in the end, he was far more critical of Sparano and the culture in general. But, being on the witch hunt, you gravitate immediately to the one, brief, rather ambiguous knock on Chad Henne and act as if it's the most damning indictment ever. I just don't get it.
Wow, I'm a little surprised. Ricky has even said positive things about Wannstedt. I'm sure he'll say nice things about Sparano in the future, but it's obvious he doesn't want to play for this regime. First Jason Taylor(who said he'd still be here if Parcells wasn't-and after this season I don't see why anyone would take Parcells' side), now Ricky. I can only see Ricky staying if a new coach is here.
"I think usually when players are talking and saying the right things, that they're full of ****." I love Ricky Williams...
LOL that Ricky is getting blasted for being honest..... Cmon fellas its the same sh-t we have been saying all season, he just confirmed that how we feel is for good reason.
What on earth are you talking about? I've never worshipped Henne nor has anyone else. There is a portion of us here that simply believe a large portion of his issues have come from inadequate use and development. Why must you try to simplify what we've been saying all along to make your arguments look more impressive?
Well that and one of the best Head Coaches in NFL history! A great scouting department! And well better players at pretty much every position on the field! But hey we got them beat at LT!
what is this "damning" indictment of Sparano? That he has the respect of the players in the lockerroom? that he's too anal about third down conversions, red zone scoring and turnovers. This is the "damning" indictment of Sparano lol
Because he also mentioned preparation, use of player talent and coaching style. So interesting you choose to leave that out. Again I've stated I'm willing to meet in the middle fully acknowledging Henne has issues however you seem to fully support that the ONLY issue with this team is a young QB. Do you really feel the only issue this team had was a QB? We'd be Super Bowl bound with another QB?
You missed the point. It wasn't about me pinning something on you. It was about your pinning something on him.
