With a third place finish in the AFC East in 2010, the Dolphins' 2011 opponents have been determined.

The combined record of Miami’s opponents next season was 103-105 in 2010. Their eight home foes went 63-65 (.492), while their eight road opponents posted a mark of 77-67 (.535). Of Miami’s 13 opponents next season, four qualified for the playoffs in 2010.

Whoever the head coach is should treat the TExans game like the Super Bowl. I will lose my damn mind if we lose to those clowns one more time.

Think about it, 4 teams went to the playoffs on the upcoming schedule, this yr:

    Pats
    Jets
    Bears
    Packers
    Stealers
    Ravens

On this yr's schedule, add in the AFCW is still not good with the Raiders and Broncos struggling at Qb, and we have some NFCW action as well, 2 less playoff teams, two much weaker conferences than the AFCN and NFCN, and the two bye week deal with the Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Cowboys.

This schedule is set up for success..as long as the right moves are made this offseason.

I am thinking 10-6, with the Broncos and Raiders and Redskins replacing the Bears and Ravens and Stealers things are much easier this season.

We traded out 3 playoff teams for 3 terrible teams and even a modest improvement in QB play and ST's will make a huge difference in 2011.

And we may have a winning record.

No way to predict until we see what we put on the field and what coaching changes are made.

No sense jumping off a bridge yet.

I think its best to see what the offseason brings. The QB CANNOT be Henne. Let me reiterate. CANNOT BE HENNE. I think the D is OK, if we can just run ball control and have an accurate QB who throws to Marshall and Bess, we should be OK. I guess Luck is going to Carolina and SF is looking at Gabbert. I really think we should McNabb and take advantage of Brandon Marshall in his prime. Immediately McNabb becomes the 2nd best QB in the AFC East. I would rather go with a young QB but then we are wasting Marshall's best years. If we get McNabb, I think 10-6 is reasonable.

The Raiders are pretty good and I don't think it's out of the question that shannahan improves Washington quite a bit next year.

And I'm sure you're aware that fans of those teams are saying "Oh, we get the Dolphins, that should be an easy win"

Had we beaten three piss poor teams at home, we'd be 10-6 on a schedule most thought to be absolutely brutal. And those are games we should've won. Not even counting the Steeler game.

Point is, you never know how its gonna shake out.

Yep, I'm sure last year at this time all the Chief fans were gloom and doom, and look where they are.

    Spot on.

I'll tell you what though - I know its a LONG offseason, but with the way things stand now I can't remember (in recent memory) heading into an offseason with so little hope towards next season.

And this following a season in which I was convinced we'd be fielding the best team of my fanhood.

    Depressing stuff.

we should've won agains bills, lions and browns this year... with the same team how do you pretend to have a winning record? also you have to remember that we didn't win against the jets, they lost agains us, you know that they are by far a better team than the fins

come on guys, im a dolphins fan too and i want the best for my team but its very hard for me to understand how after what happened this season we still have Henne and Sparano, no words yet !!!!!

loosing 2 games in the last drives and loosing 38-7 is crazy !!!!, Sparano lost the team....

Did you think the Chiefs would win the division?

I'm sure the answer is no, my point is you can't tell today what we are going to be come Sept.

ok you have a point there but....

what do you think we need to do in order to get at least better than one of the teams on our division, the jets !!!!! it doesnt matter how good we are and what is our record, we need to be better than one of them, Pats or Jets in order to make it to the next round..

The saving grace is our defense. We won/were in quite a few games we probably had no business being in because of the D. The second Jets game was one, and probably the Vikings game as well. There are others, but point is we have a nice young core there.

As bad as they were last year is as good as they were this year.

Who knows. We could get an OC to turn this around in the same way Nolan turned around the D. Add that with a couple FA moves and some impact players in the draft (RB, Speed WR) and who knows.

That said, it's still a huge question mark. But I wouldn't say it's the worst I've felt after an offseason.

Chiefs added some valuable pieces like Thomas Jones and Eric Berry. Plus Crennel is a proven D coordinator and lastly, Cassel, Bowe and Charles are young players that continued to improve. What young players do we have that have that kind of upside....crickets.

I know I know, but with Marshall and Bess there he'd have better weapons than Santana Moss and Cooley? Am I reaching?

    LOL
