Upper management of the Tennessee Titans have recommended to Bud Adams that he release Vince Young and retain Jeff Fisher as head coach Could there be a deal made between the Dolphins and Tennessee?? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...her-move-on-from-qb-young?module=HP_headlines
not me but i dont want cam newton either. dont know about ireland and ross however. if ross or ireland are considering newton i would rather get v young. me i would prefer a FA QB or a reasonable trade for one but if we must draft one try to get Mallett
hope you're right. dont want cam here. just worried that ross will be watching the championship gm the way bud adams watched vince young in the championship gm and decide thats the way to sell tickets
I couldn't imagine Young in an offense that didn't have Chris Johnson and a big, downfield WR to throw it up to. So we'd want to bring in a guy whose horrible play his first 3 years was much worse than Henne's, but we won't give Chad his proper time to develop? Just sayin.
which is exactly what I was thinking. A third and some cash I would do. I even might give a 2nd since we are picking 15th. No more though. Tenny gets a pic and rid of their "problem" and Young gets to move where its sunny 300 days a year
Where do you get this info from??? Head case?? Do you have a link?? No disrespect....maybe you'd be more happy with another Henne thread??? Just curious!!
might be the best thing for henne though. if we were to get palmer or orton or kolb I think Henne is sitting. With Young he might have a chance
he's not the worst guy. when he's on he's quite effective. plus he fits in well with the wildcat. fisher was kind of running his own version of it the first couple of years with young
If this were the end of Vince's 3rd year, would anyone be asking for a guy who had 22 TDs to 32 INTs after 33 games with a combined QB rating of less than 70 and about a 1000 yards less per year than Henne?
The guy threw his uniform into the stands man.... And you would like to trade a second we don't have. The reason for the article you posted is VY. You are kicking over the wrong rocks bro...
Lets start with this, what exactly have you seen from Vince Young that makes you think he upgrades our QB spot in any way shape or form?
It was?? Sorry I am a fins fan not a Tennessee fan. I'm sorry I should have started another Henne thread. I will try to do better next time
I don't know Vince Young. I have seen him play a few times and always thought with a little coaching he could possibly be very good. I'm pretty sure he is a younger guy. I would say guessing 25-26. I know there is something going on with Fisher and him not liking one another. Fisher benched him and most likly get his way. Thought maybe he could help us out. Hey did I mention Henne sucks. Sorry couldn't help myself....seems to be in every thread
Don't know the situation in Tennessee. Don't know the coaches, don't know their record. I don't know maybe it all wrong for him and somewhere else he could do very well. Sometimes that's all it takes. Figured couldn't get any worse then what we have had. A third's pretty cheap
So you make a crappy thread about a crappy QB, and your reasoning is there are too many crappy threads about another QB? Good Logic.
It's not a Henne threat, Socks, but if you're trying to upgrade Henne than it does involve Chad to a degree. If we replace Chad, then I personally want it to be with someone who is currently better than Chad as well as better than what Henne's potential would suggest. I just don't see Vince being better than the Henne we'd be seeing by mid next season. All in my opinion.
Was not aware of that. Man seems like I missed a lot. Whats with these athletes. Was it over frustration???
And don't forget the suicide "misunderstanding" in 08 or that he contemplated retiring after his rookie year because football wasn't as much fun. I don't know if I would call him a headcase. But man Vince Young is a big f***ing baby anyway.
We definitely need competition and a backup, so if the price is right, we need to find someone who can come in and give us a shot to win (even if it's as a backup to Henne in case Chad gets injured).
He's Jeckyl and Hyde...... When he's Jeckyl he can be pretty good, but when he's Hyde, he's a cancer to the team IMO. He still needs to grow up unfortunately.
I was just messing with you bro! At least you are trying to think of solutions rather than just complaining!
Young also had a late night fight with a woman in the back room of some casino or something right? Is that an artificial memory ?
The solution to what? Tony would have to dumb the passing offense down even more than it already is if he had Vince Young forced upon him.
Vince Young isnt that crazy an idea. The Vince Young of the last two years was actually pretty effective. For all the insanity that surrounds him he had a 98.6 QB rating/ 59% completion percentage/ 10 TDs - 3 Ints in 2010 Of course he almost never throws over 25 times per game or for more than 200 yds so you have to have a strong run game if you bring him in. I think Henne would be much more effective if he was limited to 20 to 25 throws and had a strong run game that he could lean on
I bet the other teams that need some sort of playcaller are monitoring the situation as well, and want to play chicken with Titans FO, offer them some low round picks, with the hopes that if they don't accept, he just gets cut outright. But the Titans will take something for him though. It is just a matter of what they accept.
Works for me! Considering they seem to have put their faith in his holiness Mr. Tebow (insert holy music here) there must be some bargaining room in there. Maybe trade a 3rd and package it with somebody and/or cha-ching CA$H.
This is the guy that the Titans had to send people out looking for as there was a "suicide mix-up", who has threatened to quit when he wasn't the starter, threw his uniform into the stands and has played 24 games over the last 3 seasons. On top of that he has a career 57% completion rate, 75 QB rating and only because of an insanely good season (by his standards) his TD/Int ratio is now an even 1 at 42:42 We could also throw in that he is as smart as a box of rocks with a reported 6 on the Wonderlic. Did I really read that someone wants to give up a 2nd or 3rd round pick for him? That would make some of the picks Spielman threw away look like the work of a genius.
I had forgotten about that. I recall, now that you mention it. There was even a video...okay maybe a headcase, after all
