We haven't been real positive with anything to do with offense for the past couple of weeks. I am as guilty as anyone. But, here are some positive stats to say the least.

Brandon Marshall- Finished the season with 86 catches. The Dolphins record for catches in a single season is 90, held by OJ McDuffie. (1998) Tied Mark Clayton for 2nd most catches in a single season. Oh and btw, Marshall only played 13 and a half games this year.

Chad Henne- 61.4% completion percentage. Yes, he ranked 16th, which isn't incredible...however this is the 2nd highest completion percentage of Dolphins starters since Dan Marino's 64.1% in 1995 (Chad Pennington had the highest in 2008). He also finished above Jay Cutler, Sam Bradford, Mark Sanchez, Kyle Orton, Matt Cassel, and Donovan McNabb in that category this year.

Davone Bess- 79 rec. 820 yards, and 5 TD. He had 3 more touchdowns this year than last year and also had 3 less fumbles this year than last year.

    Jake Long- Pro Bowl starter

Lousaka Polite- Had 26 rushes, 15 first downs, and 1 TD. He also had 12 catches...a career high. lol

Anthony Fasano- 39 rec. 528 yards, 13.5 avg, 31 long, 4 TD. That gives him career highs in receptions, yards, average, and longest reception. To me, he proved he can be a TE for Miami for years to come. Pretty reliable.

There you go. Just a few positive things that actually happened with our offense. Feel free to add anything if you want.

Bess and Marshall broke the record for receptions by a duo in Miami.

The only positives you listed that I agree with are the play of Jake Long, Brandon Marshall, and Devon Bess. While Polite was effective on short yardage runs. His blocking this year was terrible. I don't see him back as the Dolphins fullback next season.
Fasano continues to be an average tightend for the Dolphins and this is a position that needs a definite upgrade. When it comes to the play of Henne. It was just awful this season. Most of his completions were due to short dump off passes. He should be traded for a 6th round draft pick. But I doubt any other NFL would be willing to trade a 6th round pick for him.

39 receptions is his best ever. That just sucks. He is another reason the offense is this bad. You would think with henne's dink and dunk passing a TE would have more. Miami deserves and can do much better.

Yeah its great to have a thread that celebrates our mediocrity ! YAY !

:tantrum: Please people, if you don't aspire to greatness you'll never get there. People here are now so numbed by the crapiness of this team they start threads to celebrate our crapiness. God what happened to the DolFans who used to demand GREATNESS and SUPER BOWL mentality ? Do you think they would start a thread like this on a Pats, Pittsburgh or Green Bay message board ????

**** trying to find goody-goody & nicey-nicey things about this most miserble season we just witnessed. This organization needs to be kicked in the balls if they think our fans will continue to keep shoveling money their way for this kind of crap and be happy about it.

What is the point of being a fan if you cannot enjoy being a fan?

Plus there is always positives. To look at only negatives is not the way to become successful. it is the way to become depressed.

Why start a thread about stupid stats that don't make a hill of beans difference. Our record is our record, and it wasn't good enough.

What is wrong with people, aren't you pissed off about this year ? Don't you have any anger about it ? Some passion about it ? Have you so bought in to the political correctness of "lets find something good" just to find something (supposedly) good ? Hell no I won't do it. I refuse to be one of those passive lamb like fans that seem to perpetuate our teams fandom. The teams crapiness has seemingly invaded our fanbase now.

After a 1-7 home record, and 1-9 in the last 10 games, and missing the playoffs for yet another year - making it 8 of the last 9 seasons, having a QB problem 3 years into a regime that came in with total arrogance of "we know better than anyone else" and has totally failed. I'm pissed at watching KC, Atlanta and now seemingly traditional loser teams like Detroit finding their way out of crapiness and we have fans that are happy to make threads celebrating CRAPINESS !

Dudes NOTHING THIS SEASON WAS A POSITIVE ! We will once again be watching the playoffs - doesn't that piss you off ????

Then you have given in, and now we see why you go to a Dolphins game and the atmosphere is so lousy. No passion whatsoever.

What has become of being a passionate Miami Dolphins fan ? We have given in to mediocrity and crapiness.

    because it is fun.

No, I am not pissed off. I watch football because it is fun. I am a fan of the Dolphins and I want to have fun. Getting pissed off on something I have zero control over does not make sense.

I do not have any anger about it. It is a waste of my time to have anger about it.

I have too much passion about it. I wouldn't spend too much time on this board if I didn't. I look at last season and I want to see what Miami can build. I do not see a team that needs to be torn down and start over. I am tired of starting over at every bump in the road.

How is it politcally correct to find something good? Do you know what politically correct means? You are not using it correctly.

I might be a lamb, however you are just a lemming. Willing to jump off a cliff at every little negative.

Also lets see what KC does next year when they don't get to play the NFC West.

There are many positive things that happened this season. There are many negatives as well. To say there was nothing positive is just wrong.

I don't let the Dolphins depress me and just because I am a fan doesn't mean I have to lose sight of reality. That is how you end up pumping average players and never heard of Cowboy scrubs hoping for gold. But in reality they just stink. Reality is we are 31st in points there are no positives!

You try to start a thread like this on a Pats message board after they lose in the playoffs and see what kind of a reaction you get. I doubt it will be all nicey-nice posts full of beaming bambi goody two shoes references. They have passion and we need to get it back here. Maybe that will help the stadium atmosphere and then rub off on the team. Its better than this namby-pamby goody goody crap this thread is promoting.

Plus you didn't use politically correct, correctly. Just throwing out words does work.

Plus I would like to see how KC does when they do not have to play the NFC West. Miami would be in the playoffs this season if they were in the AFC West and got to play the NFC West.

I'm not the lemming, but I will stop there. You and I will have to agree to disagree and leave it at that.

No passion and fire. This board should be burning. 1-7 at home....there should be torches and pitchforks in Davie instead we get this kind of passionless crap.

I'm not depressed as much as angry. Not only angry at the Dolphins, but sort of angry with the seeming acceptance of mediocrity on this board. I guess many here are to young to remember when the Dolphins didn't just wish to make the playoffs every year, but fans wondered would we win the division or get a wildcard. It was ACCEPTED we would make it every year, not just once in 8 years. The fans demanded they do that, now we just accept that it would be great to make the playoffs. Its so sad to see what has happened to the franchise I love with all of my heart. I still get that tingly feeling in the pit of my stomach as the kicker comes to the ball to kickoff and start a game. Where has that passion gone ?

Why do you need to be pissed off or angry to have passion? I haven't missed a game in 7 years, which included every game during the dreaded 1-15 season. I haven't accepted mediocrity. I just have a different way of looking at things. I see the sweeping changes, the pitchforks and torches as to why the Dolphins are the way they are. The reason why this team has become a joke is because every 2 or 3 years they just change everything. Nothing is ever allowed to build. Just anger and torches burning away the team before anything has a chance to do well. Looking at other flashes in the pan and wondering why Miami can't be flashes in a pan like the Chiefs who had a cup cake schedule this season and were swept by the Raiders who the Dolphins destroyed.

I see the pitchforks and torches as an acceptance for mediocrity because that is what has kept Miami being mediocre.

First losing isn't fun! Being embarrassed at home isn't fun!

Let me break the offense down without aqua and orange blinders on for you!

QB- garbage bottom 5 starting QB in the league! He has ZERO intangibles, and everyone from Tuna, to analysts, to coaches, to players have used the PC term for he stinks! There is no pot of gold at the end of this rainbow, a new OC and QB coach won't fix him. Well unless they have a magic wand that makes talent.

RB- not one 100yd game between the 2 of them. They have no burst and our no threat out of the backfield in the passing game. Oh and they Arnold and slow! Hillard is slow and runs with his head down has no vision. Combs has out lived his use.

TE- our primary te is a run blocker
and should be a second te, but he can't be that because every week we play rotate a scrub with our number 2 te! Another position we are pathetically slow at and have no threat to bustle seam!

Oline- pathetic seeing how we have a supposive oline guru as our HC! Anchored by our prize LT that serves as a everyday reminder this regimes failure and arrogance! You don't rebuild around LT period! The leagues 2 best LTs are Long and Thomas, how are their teams doing? Mean while franchise QBs Ryan and Flacco are in the playoffs again!

WR- how do you shutdown one of the leagues elite WRs? I give you Dan Henning! Anyone remember Hennings preseason interview his quote " I see no need to get Marshall 100+ receptions?" Then you add Checkdown Chad in the mix! Not to mention we have no SPEED!

Sorry it might sting a bit but the reality is outside Marshall and Long every position is upgradable

What makes us mediocre is hiring morons to run the show! It doesn't matter what we do at HC if we keep Ireland! He is a Tuna Mini-Me he only knows they type of player Tuna likes and he will continue to build and acquire those type of players. We are mediocre until we finally break this string of bad front offichires and find someone who knows what a franchise QB is and how to develop one! You could give these clowns 5 more years and they will NEVER win in the post season!

New coach/coordinators/QB would solve a lot of issues. If we hire Cowher tomorrow, the entire perspective changes.
