Not sure what the thinking is, but what HC really wants to come to an organization who is openly interviewing to replace the current HC who is still in the office down the hall. It's just bad, makes us look like clowns, and if I was Sparano I wouldn't want to work for Ross or Ireland.

Our front office needs to grow some balls either move on, or keep Sparano and start interviewing for a good OC.

did we need another thread to start the same conversation again?

If I'm a candidate for a job and I really want to go to this company and they are offering to give me a huge pay upgrade and it's a good fit, why the hell would I care if the person currently holding the job hasn't been fired yet?

sparano and his staff put themselves into this position of limbo, the owner is doing what he needs to do to explore option's at this point, 1 and 9 at home in your last 10 will do that to you..

The circumstances, the effort, the miss communication..The disgusting way the team performed down the stretch deserves to be looked into..

    Iam not mad at ross...

Huiezinga and Parcells are not in our front office, this is ross's team now, and he should do whatever the fu*& he wants to do, he didn't hire the current staff, his VP of football operations cowardly stepped away, so he doesn't owe any of those disciples. sh$#.

CK had a good point on Twitter, in that coaches do this to players all the time. I agree. Why should we feel bad for Sparano when he has essentially done the same with players. Coaches are constantly looking for replacements for guys in Free Agency and the draft.

At least Tony KNOWS it's happening. Many players aren't so lucky.

Does that make the Dolphins look bad? Maybe to fans, but not so sure about NFL people.

No losing to the Browns, Bills, and Lions at home made the Dolphins look bad! I could careless how they treat him or Ireland? Maybe Ross should insult Morano's health condition they way Ireland attacked Clarke. Or better yet some mommy jokes on Irelands skank mother that shat him into this world!

Exactly! Sparano seems like a heckava person but this is a cut throat buisiness. So if you don't want or expect to be treated harshly, do better....

If you've never looked at how businesses treat their employees before you apply, then I would have to say you don't know how to job hunt. It looks bad. Now how bad, thats a different story.

If they know they want to move on, then just do it. I can't remember if I have ever seen the recruiting of a HC while another HC was still there. If they don't get a big name and they keep Sparano that doesn't really show a vote of confidence. Regardless of how you feel about Sparano this is just classless. Players getting cut has nothing to do with this. Not only just Sparano, there are assistant coaches as well who will be out of a job as well most likely if they bring a new person in.

I'm sorry just tells you how dysfunctional this organization is.

Your'e talking about Wal-Mart pay type jobs. If you've ever tried to get an extremely high paying, lucrative, high power job you may be treated like Tony is now if you don't show the top guy(s) you're worth keeping around and get some results . There are millions of minimum wage jobs out there so people can be choosey about where they work. When a person gets a job that is very competative the standards change.

No one in the NFL, (other than those who may pander to the public) thinks that what Ross is doing is too harsh.

Even ceos don't get publicly held while their companies do the job search. At least none I can think of. So no I'm not just talking about walmart type jobs. And everybody should check how companies treat their people and I'm willing to bet most do.

Ross isn't doing anything, he couldn't even be around to attend the last game.

What makes it worse is now even the players are taking shots which would never have happened if this whole recruiting process didn't start. Good job the front office is doing, its like the wild wild west in the locker room right now.

There is no lockeroom right now, it's the offseason. THAT'S why guys are talking. This happens every offseason. Guy's are quiet during the season, voice their concerns after. I don't think the recruiting process is the sole reason these guys are speaking up. They (the players) don't know for sure Tony is gone. I think they'd have said it regardless.

CEO's don't get "publicly held" because they aren't in the entertainment business.

Bottom line, you produce results and you won't get "publicly held". Besides, it's not like Ross is the one spilling all this info we ALL are craving. ;)

    Losing creates turmoil.

Perfect example is the 2007 Giants. Winning sure made everybody lovey-dovey, huh?

Ross isn't doing anything? LMAO! Riiiiight...you keep thinking that.

Sometimes they don't have to say anything. They are in the entertainment business after all. They can look for coaches without retaining sparano. They can also do it a bit quieter. I admire the guy for going whole hog, but he should do so without sparanos future in doubt.

Problem is Amigo, its getting more and more apparent that no one wants the big pay raise most likely because they are not a good fit here. This whole thing is going south real quickly on Ross it appears.

He may have no choice but to fill Tonys shoes now with someone that is not so high up there in the name dept. just due to what the hell does he think Tony is going to do when no high profile coaches take the job ? Tony is going to sit back and give the finger to Ross and the local media. Ross may have done a big boo boo by not firing Tony first and even a bigger boo boo when he finds out only retreads of coaching want to coach in Miami.

The coaching search is a mess. We should have cut ties with Morono on Monday and then we should have started wooing coaches. Now its too late.

Do you want to turn this into a media bias argument? Really? I would also like to know what part of this argument you think can be biased. The part about sparano being retained or the part about multiple coaches being contacted, unless you think we have not in fact contacted multiple coaches, I fail to see how this argument makes any sense.

It was directed more towards your comment about job hunting and people finding out how prior employees were treated at prospective companies. that doesn't really happen. my comment had nothing to really do with the current situation with the dolphins.

if you do it right you don't ask just ex employees who got fired. Theres even articles written about businesses and what they do and don't do. You don't just have to go by word of mouth. Nor is there always a bias.

Yep. For some reason people think that the NFL isn't real life. It's some sort of fairy story.

If I were Sparano, I'd hold onto my position for dear life. It's what's best for me and my
family. I love how many here are talking about "Pride"....Dude, "Pride" doesn't put biscuts on
butter. You go into next season and you re-****, re arm, and, get after it. You hope everyone
can be a professional. I know I've never once "quit" on a boss, and, I have little respect for those
that do. Even those I don't like or respect, I'll still do my job at the best level of my ability for,
because *ITS MY ****ING JOB* I do what I do for *me*...Not for a boss.

Ross is letting Sparano know what's up in the same way the USCG lets smugglers know what's up.
Fire a burst across the bow.

    Get it? Got it? Good.

Sparano needs to get better. There is no question, but I think that just as we want to give players time to
develope, so should we give HCs time to develop. Next year is his last shot, IMO. Show signifigant improvment
or it's the end...And I would think that Sparano would agree that if he gives a similar performance he
    should go.
