I agree you dont keep a lame duck around. But with the lockout coming, I think its a wise move considering we couldn't get any of our other targets. Not sure which reports you're referring to about Ross not being turned down. But if we had fired Sparano and Harbaugh/Gruden/Cowher didn't come here, what would we have done?
That's not what I heard on NFL Network. They said you met with Cowher and the fit wasn't right. You had an offer on the table for Gruden and he declined...then you went to Harbaugh.
Cowher doesn't want to be here because of Ireland. That's why the fit wasn't right. We won't fire Ireland so Cowher isn't coming, so we're stuck with the offensive line coach idiot as our head coach. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Stay tuned for the hilarious part of this: the part where Sparano meets the media and explains the current events.
You're right..... sarcasm isn't allowed in any posts on this forum. I'll remember that each and every time someone here says something sarcastic to make a point.
No comment. No comment. That way. At the end of the day. No comment. That way. Snap counts. No comment. Snap counts. That way. Smart tough disciplined. At the end of the day. Those things. Red Area. Turnovers. Any more questions?
Exactly. This is just one of the reasons that I'm expressing serious displeasure with this organization right now. Next year could end up becoming a complete lame duck SEASON..... and if that happens, then the wheels could REALLY fall off. We could end up seeing a complete rebuild AGAIN. WEEEE!!!
In that case, I'd say you should...and eventually you will. Just thank god your owner isn't Al Davis. I will say one of the most interesting parts of Sean payton's book is his interview with al Davis before he turned down the raider job. Dude is crazy.
We don't need to blow up anything. We have a lot of young talent on our team. A top 6 defense filled with youth is nothing to blow up. It's something to build off of.
Dumping Ireland doesn't mean you have to dump everyone on your team??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
10000000 Percent a YES! As a matter of fact, I'm going to get some new hats tomorrow. But thats me....
Make sure you call every August to cancel Sunday ticket. If you paid anymore than $150 for sunday ticket plus Sunday ticket to go, you got robbed. they'll give you discounts before they'll let you cancel. This year they gave me enough discounts that I figured they paid me $75 to keep the ticket. Anyways...yeah I'm a season ticket holder and I keep Sunday ticket for the away games. Who Dat!
And I completely respect that. Being in NC away from the team etc only makes me feel further distant with stuff like this transpiring. I cant spend money to sit in the stadium but I do have a weekly $50 bar tab just so I can still watch them play. When you're not down there in the mix of things, I think it's easier to become a little disattached. Not making excuses..... just sayin.
Thanks for the tidbit. I'll pass that along to friends. My skyline view is impeded so I have to watch games from a sports bar...... unless I want to become a Carolina or Skins fan. Pass on that. If I'm jumpin ship it's for a winner. (Let's see how many more members take these posts etc out of context)
I shouldn't have called your mother a whore Thanks Really she is quite the whore Dude, I am right here
I actually just did. Walmart had some Fins small carpets that I want to put around my house. Wife says its OK, so I bought them. Wife went around tonight with her Fins jacket on and me with my hat. No big deal. I agree with your venting though. I have said here before that I'd take all of my Dolphins stuff and put it in a box and dump it off right in front of the facility door in Davie. They can have there junk back if they get blown out 62-7 again and you can tell they are half-assing it all over the place. (hence why they are getting blown away like that) This team is total BS. MY Dolphins team(s) were the ones of the 1989-1995 editions, then to some extent the 1996-1999 editions. So when I buy stuff and when I think of good Dolphins times, I go back to that. Yeah, we never went to the SB, but they are the teams that I was proud to root for. I had fun rooting for them win or lose. I felt the history, the connection. Thats just me. The garbage we have now is a farce of an organization that I once loved more than my freaking mom (no s*it). But now, at 32 with a wife and two kids, I just laugh. Because its so sad that if "it wouldnt be funny, it would just be true."
Cowher wanted full control, we didn't give it to him. I'm not a fan of giving coaches full control, but it sure as hell beats having Tony Morono as head coach. As for Gruden, we offered him 7 mill, he declined. Again, much better coach than Morono could dream of being. It's not my money, so pay the man what he wants.
I've always caught crap from some dolphans about you having one and us not. I don't care when they were, we're even now.
