Not yet, any team can have one great season, for example Utah did 3 yrs ago, but back to backs are a different deal. Heck even FIU won their bowl game.
UCF has the best record of ALL the Florida schools. (I know the talent wasn't the same). But it's still the best. UCF just beat a good SEC team in UGA. And all their offense is really young. Their QB beat all the records Jacory Harris held as a High School QB. I think they will have more then a 1 year run. They have been pretty good for about 3 or 4 years now and getting better.
PBP: Canes fall flat in loss to Notre Dame There’s going to be a mass exodus of crappy and underperforming players away from UM this spring and summer.
No need to argue it brother. Time will tell exactly what's happening in Orlando! Those of us who have been a part of the program have known EXACTLY where the UCF program was headed years ago. Time will tell!
Having stuck up for my program I can move back to UM. I'm also a fan of UM having grown up in Miami and I remember watching their first Natl. title game as a kid jumping out of my seat as the UM LB deflected Nebraska's 2 pt. conversion attempt in the OB. Miami will be back. Getting a good coach and recruiting staff is all it takes for a program like Miami to turn things around. Hopefully Golden is that guy. You have two crappy coaches in a row like Miami has the results they've had are expected.
3 actually. Not that the opponents have been much to talk about although the Clemson win was surprising. As for the NFL talent argument UCF has produced just as much. It's not about the past though. Like I said, time will tell. I don't expect many to really know what UCF is doing or whether they are for real or not.
I don't too much details about transferring but if he does indeed transfer, does he automatically get a 5th year (since he has to sit out a year)?
To be honest, I wouldn't give a rat's ***, he'll be somebody else's problem then. Have them figure it out.
Well if he's not guaranteed the 5th year then he's not transferring...so he would still be our problem lol
Someone needs to talk to this kid about the benefits of a Jazz Appreciation degree at a more prestigious institution.
Brennan Carroll is trying to recruit TE Brandon Fulse, 6’5’’ 245. It’s UM vs Auburn for him. Also, Golden has hired former Temple asst. director of football ops, Ryan McNamee, as director of player development.
Something from someone who I really respect regarding NCAA football: Sums everything up pretty well IMO...
Al Golden is now on Twitter at @GoldenAl. Recruiting coordinator and TE coach Brennan Carroll is also on Twitter at @BrennanPCarroll. Terry Richardson is your new RB coach. DC D’Onofrio’s press conference can be watched here.
CB Thomas Finnie, 5’10’’ 170 from Miami Central High School has committed. Golden press conference today at 1 PM. Probably not announcing final staff, but more of a “State of The U” type deal. Mark Whipple almost assuredly getting the boot.
Seems there some hold with the new OC contract from what I hear. I love how Goldenwent after that kid though, the man is really pushing hard to make up ground
Canes All Access will stream Golden’s press conference live when it starts at 1 PM EST. (15 minutes.)

Whats funny is how I'm hearing that pretty much everywhere he goes from what I understand. Once people meet the man and talk to him they seem to really come away excited. I know I'm very excited to see what he can do and how he's gonna do it.
As for Swasey and his assistants, Golden said he feels good about them, but stressed that the new regime's approach will be different. ``Coach Swasey gets his marching orders from the head coach,'' Golden said. ``And as I said multiple times, we're going to get back to Butch Davis, Jimmy Johnson. The offseason is not going to be badminton.'' Read more: http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/01/...s-for-golden.html#disqus_thread#ixzz1ATn0ToEv Did you read that part
My understanding is Tony Decker, former S&C coach at Temple, will come on to help. He is one of the best too.
Taylor Gadbois(OL) and Ricardo Williams(DE) committed over the weekend. Not all the kids have left yet from the official visits this weekend but I expect maybe 1-2 more commits by the end of the day.
Happened to catch the Army HS All Star game and Bridgewater "committed" to LSU were he will be..a running back. We did not lose much of anything with him imho.
