Conflicting reports from two major Dolphin news oulets..... Who in the fugg knows whats going on anymore bro.
IF true, that would be special. A billionaire owner being served crow, a la Sparano, would be priceless. Just make sure there are a few leftovers for Peterson. LOL
Is he, or is he not 4-2 in his career as a HC against the New York Jets? And to take it a step further: is Rex Ryan not 1-3 against Tony Sparano-led teams?
dolphins 1 playoff appearnace/ jets 2 playoff appearnaces in last three years. yeah you guys are just killing us
It is a great comeback kid, because what you are basically saying is you are fine with us kicking your *** as long as you squeak into the playoffs lol
someone gets it. ya, lets give a HC a raise off back to back 7-9 seasons. makes perfect sense for this joke of a franchise.
lol. the best thing about this is it may humble ross so he doesnt do this circus anymore in the future. maybe he will concentrate on selling his hand held gizmos and finding celebrities and stay away from the football side
Ross may as well set the money his "apologizing" to Sparano with on fire. This situation will never work. I still doubt Sparano finishes next season. Donovan McNabb got a similar "financial apology" from the eagles a year ago. We saw how well that ended.
They're in the playoffs right now though. We are flying across the country to make an embarrassment of ourselves. I hate the Jets as much as anyone else, but I'd gladly trade our mess of a front office, coaching staff, and personnel for theirs.
he doesnt have a winning record against the Browns and Lions. but hey, we beat the Jets while sucking again. yippeeeeee
I understand that they have to do this if they're keeping him. But it's still a slap in the face to the fanbase. Gonna be hard for me personally to move past resenting Ross & Co for awhile. - sent from my Android via Tapatalk -
Exactly...... It just means Sparano will rip Ross off for 5 million instead of 3 next year for probably 8 games worth of "coaching". At least the boos won't be that loud. Empty seats make little noise....
Are you joking? Have you seen the ****ing mess the Jets front office has become? They are the biggest embarrassment franchise in the league, and it's not close.
Certainly going to be tough for me to have much faith in whatever it is the organization will be selling next season with Sparano as the HC -- and I'm 2,500+ miles away. I can't imagine how locals will handle it considering they're likely to be pounded with nothing but bad press for 8 solid months in the media. Extending his contract to remove the official 'lame duck' status will do nothing to ease the situation. Who's buying that? Irrevocable damage has already occured.
Sure, but really, you are trying to trivialize a division game being won. If you don't see the insanity in that I don't know what to tell you. I'm willing to bet though if we had won against the lions and got swept by the jets you'd be *****ing about that instead.
Here's a thought. IF it were Wayne and Tuna recruiting Harbaugh, might they have done better than Ross an Peterson? Ireland is the constant.
you dont know much about me. I could care less about sweeping the Jets if we still suck. im not hung up on the Jets like some. I look at the whole picture. and to me, that road win in NY doesnt do much to make me feel better about losing back to back to NY NE at home, losing to Buff at home and then getting straight up raped in NE. but hey, thats just me I guess
I feel like the Dolphins actually having a shot at a Superbowl won;t be for another five years now. Two or three to run through the rest of Sparano's conservative, QB-less attempt. A couple more to rebuild with new staff and new roster new scheme. Long time.
You don't know much about me. I can understand saying in the long run it didn't matter, I can't understand comparing a division game to beating the lions. But hey thats just me.
we can agree to disagree I suppose. i dont think you quite get where Im coming from. no worries. cool sig pic though. do you know what is wrong with Aldrich?
Personally, I don't care. All I care about is the product on the football field, and their product is absolutely ****ting on ours. They might not be the shiny new Bugatti, but they're at least a BMW. We're the Hyundai that everyone laughs at.
SIGH......there is, but money is going to make Tony happier about it. Alen c'mon you're not that dense.
Huh ? What is it all say one thing, but a few say the other ? NJ that doesn't make sense. Reread your post.
It is an advance on being the scapegoat, when he gets fired this season coming....lame duck coach...and the players know it..
*Ethan Hawke voice* It is open season on TP right now, Jets fans are gonna nail us to the wall for rooting for Indy......
And Muck just listening to Hank Goldberg, who says he has heard the NFL office has chastised Ross, with a possible future penalty of some kind coming in the future. They were upset about keeping Sparano dangling, then interviewing to comply with the Rooney Rule - but you can't do that without firing your coach 1st (contrary to what other posters on here think is legal), and how this was all played out waaaaaaaaay too publicly. The NFL is p.o'd at Ross.
