Well since the Owner screwed the pooch on this offseason this would be a Major upgrade in our secondary especially facing the Jets, and NE twice each year. He also needs to buy some Offense and forget the lets draft as the fans and NOT going to be patient this year with their criticism of the team and rightfully so.

i would rather save the money and bring in a safety so we can get clemons off the field,we are going to need 2 safeties pretty soon as yb isn't getting younger.

    Now I'm laughing...

Mouthing off? Um you do realize that it is you doing the mouthing off right?

Every running back in the NFL wishes you played cornerback. Mr. GM the genius

Not if there's a salary cap coming back. Great player, but there are many more immediate areas of need to spend the money on.

    Nnamdi Asomugha?

With as weak as our secondary is does anybody think that Steven Ross will be smart enough to open up the checkbook for Nnamdi and help our defense keep our weak quarterback n offense in the game? we need to trim a bunch of these high priced losers from the roster and go get some talent!!! (My opinion) lol

Any team in the nfl could use him. hes a very good corner. I pray the jets or the pats dont wind up with him. He would be a huge pick up.

I think the checkbook will be used on offense more than defense .That was the directive from Ross to the Bifecta .We need better QBing, OLmen and speed at the skill positions.

While a player of Asomugha's quality is hard to pass up, our DBs are not one of the weakest areas of this team

Our secondary was weak? Maybe in the int department, but I think our secondary held its own pretty well throughout the season. We had a good pass rush to complement them, but we also weren't getting assaulted by big plays repeatedly.

Asmougha would definitely be an upgrade over either of our CBs, but I think there's other places you have to look into upgrading far before you go there. And with a player of his talent, there will be teams all around the league lining up to give him a payday.

Our secondary played pretty good IMO. We weren't losing games because they couldn't stop teams. I'm with Crunch on this one, a talent like nnamdi is hard to pass up, but it will come very expensive and we are probably going to use our resources for the other side of the ball.

First let me say that I love the Dolphins been a fan since 1979. that said, I miss the glory days Dan Marino, Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor (Guys of my time) I remember when people feared our "D" and guy's like Zach the bulldog made 100+ tackles a year. Surtain n Madison shut down recievers and forced teams to run into the front seven... when we had that I always felt like we had a chance (Even though we never made it) Now with Wake, & Dansby I just dont see us shutting down the pass. I agree we need speed on offense, and as a Buckeye from Columbus Ohio we already know I have never been a believer in Chad H. (Or Chad P. for that matter) We havnt had a REAL QB since Dan, and Sabian screwed us right out of Drew B. for Who again? lol Idk... I guess its just the playoff drought thats got me ranting n raving... I'm sorry lol

What I meant about Wake n Dansby is they are the only two dominate players I think in a dee that to me seems lacking to our standards...

Vonte Davis is a rising star that other teams shied away from. Langford and McDaniel had very good seasons, and Soliai is maturing into a force in the league. Misi may become one with a little more experience. And after a slow start, Sean Smith played quite well for most of the year, and may have had some Pro-Bowl consideration if he had held on to most of the passes he dropped.

If you're a Dolphin fan from that far back you should have remembered that it took Taylor, Madison and Surtain all 2-3 years before they became the players they did.

It's amazing to me how many fans just don't seem to grasp the concept of player maturation.

Isn't Nmandi going to cost close to $16mil? If so, then that means he will cost more than 4 times all of our CBs combined on the roster in 2011. I think Vontae, Sean, Nolan, Benny, and Nate come out to around $3.8-4.0 mil or so.

We need upgrades almost all over the field offensively. I can't see this team making Nmandi the highest paid corner in the NFL or very close to it, which is what he'll ask for and likely get from some team. I mean, he's worth it, but we've got too many pressing needs. Vontae Davis and Sean Smith are fine and this coaching staff loves Nolan Carroll.

Obviously, he's a great player though. He was probably the best corner in the league before Revis emerged in 2009.

if big money is spent on D, Id like to see another stud OLB pass rusher brought in. Cam Wake needs help. Im not a huge Sean Smith fan, but if he can learn to catch a football might have something there.

How many threads do we need on this guy? If he comes here i'll be pissed. Its our O that needs help not our secondary. I really don't see Ross opening the checkbook for 16mil/year for our Def since he is on this "open up the offense / no huddle offense" kick recently.

Funny, you got down this far lmao thats just like someone to attack a person for starting a conversation and venting over ALL the bad seasons we have had for one reason or another. didnt have to make it personal there Sir

I don't think he attacked you. He clearly thought the rest was not worth reading because the secondary was not one of the weak spots by years end.

We're all in the same boat man! Losing sucks, and it seems, that the Miami Dolphins have been too good at it, this decade...
