Good lord it drives me nuts. I have hi-speed internet w/ Comcast and run a wired connection and it still is choppy. Makes it impossible to kick xp's, run slants, etc. Is there a trick or tip, possibly with equipment, that'll make it run smoother? Or is it just a "join the club" thing?
I played Madden 10 with wireless and really had no issue with lag, maybe 1 out of 20 games or something and might have been their end. Only suggestion I can think of would be making sure you don't have a lot going on the other computer/laptop that share the connection?
The first thing I would have told you is to set up a wired connection between your console and your cable modem/router, but you’ve already got that set up. Okay, that’s out. Go to speedtest.net, pause or turn off everything that might be sucking up bandwidth (mainly any sort of download on your computers or consoles, any Netflix streaming you might be in the middle of, etc) and run a test. If your results aren’t relatively close to the speed package you’re paying for, there might be an equipment or line problem, and it’s worth calling customer support to talk about.
Speed test was off the charts. $65/month sure better be, lol. Next time I play I'll just unhook my computer from router and runnin my ethernet directly into modem. That should make it better. Thanks for advice.
