So much for Henne being gone huh haters.......
Henne shines in this system I'll be happy as hell.... and laughing my *** off. :wink2:

Just watched the interview, dude is passionate and has a lot of excitement. He also said he will do a lot of the things that Henning never did.

its going to be his third year starting, thats usually when things start to click for a QB regardless of who is the coach. he will rise or fall on his own. the system and the coaching have nothing to do with it or at least very little

    Henne is bad.
    Henne is inaccurate.
I don't care what the statistics say, Henne made bad decisions, that no other young QB lacking a run game or decent blocking makes.
The Dolphins will never be good, until the 2035 season.

And David Lee hasn't developed an NFL QB in his life. You think having this guy won't make a difference?

Yes darling resnor, I love you & I'll never be bad again. Just don't know what led me astray (Henning, Lee, Sparano, the Receivers, the fans, whatever) but I'm going to be good now, I promise.
I'll get it right this time, not to worry  things have changed... I've even learned how to throw the ball better

yeah but you've watched football long enough to know year three is when the good QBs start putting it all together. if he's going to be good he was going to be good regardless if it was henning or daboll or chudzinski. you know it as well as i do and if he's going to be bad he was going to be bad with henning, daboll or chudzinski

The Dolphins will be looking at other QB options, including Chad Henne. That was said in the presser I believe.

Chad Henne is going to be on this team no matter what. He's going to get instruction and development from the coaches. What he isn't going to get is the starting job--unless he earns it--which is what I look forward to.

I hear you on the three year stuff and agree but totally disagree on the success with Henning. That offense was geared for Pennington and Henne struggled in it. At least now he gets a fresh start with a fiery new OC who has already talked about developing him. That is something exciting we haven't seen since Henne has been here. This is his shot if he fails this time then I will concede I promise.
This is new life for Chad Henne.

I agree Henne has to have competition in here to push him. That is a damn good thing.
    Another situation Henne hasn't faced.

i agree. what might benefit Henne and its pure speculation is if he had lost complete confidence, then getting a new coach might be like getting a new boost of confidence. still means its all in his head but maybe thats what he needs

MANY want to blame Henne, and I just don't get it. All things considered, he did pretty well, better up 'till game 12 or 13.

PFF has him at #17, which is fair. Flacco is #14, Cutler #16, Cassel #18, Orton #22, Sanchez #23, and Hasselbeck #24.

He, and we, are gonna surprise many of the negative nellies this year.

I'll say it without rhymes and fancy colors.

Henne will be here, I hope we bring in some competition (Matt Moore maybe Bulger) and I hope Henne beats out whomever it is, that would be the best thing that could happen.

    Will he? Nobody knows!

I think you have to acknowledge that the possibility exists.

Might not be a great chance, and his ceiling probably isn't as high as it once was, but I don't think he's permanently broken yet.

I seriously wish this last bit was said more. I don't care if Chad Henne is the starting QB or not. I want someone who can succeed. If Chad is the best option available after the offseason, then by god I'm going to root for him. So many people around here seem to be so determined to be right about their opinion that they tend to be bias and come off as wanting to see someone fail just to boost their ego and talent evaluation credentials.

True. And I expected to see some growth and some setbacks his second year, but I saw a lot more negatives than I expected. Things that have made me seriously doubt if he is salvageable.

I sincerely hope this regime isn't pinning their hopes to Henne again, and downgrading the importance of drafting/signing a top tier QB.

Hope springs eternal, but that would be sheer folly and refusal to learn from experience.

My feeling are that we gave enough time for henn to develope and on top of that we gave him some pretty good players to help him out.

It could be his coaching or system who knows ,but its clearly he is not worth starting at least in my opinion.I really had high hopes and liked the pick.

I like the kid and would not like for us to let him go we gave a 2nd ,if anything he clearly can be our backup and a very good one at that.

I hope we bring in two Qb's and let the battle begin ,If he wins it he deserves it and there would be no excuses at the end of the season. :knucks:

    Exactly.

Clearly Henne has A LOT of questions attached to him but he also has some very strong tools.
The change in coaching, direction and system will make or break him.
Bringing in competition is a must as well. I don't think these guys will seperate the two concepts of continuing to develop Henne and still looking for QB talent. It's not one or the other.

Anyone that is still harping for Henne to just be cut and given up on at this point is just looking to be right.

It would obviously be the best thing for this franchise for Henne to make a 3rd year turnaround.
