So the QB's run for the WR's after the catch.
You bash the whole Dolphins organization but Marshall is gold.
Sorry bro but you are a player fan in it's finest form.
You probably own a Fitgerald jersey as well as Marshall The Fraud. :wink2:

I have to think there is a comfort zone that needs to be considered in this choice.I cant know for sure but I think Henning was inflexible and not about to take any suggestions as to how to run an offense especially from a relatively newcomer like Sparano. This was an OC that was imposed on Tony by the Tuna.

Sparano may not have wanted to deal with a higher profile OC for the same reason.

His job is on the line and if he is going down with the ship he might as well run his offense the he wants to run it with a younger man at OC who has a similar philosophy and who would be amenable to accept his suggestions.

    Just a thought .

It's refreshing to hear an OC talk about working together with the players and being willing to adjust accordingly and attack the defense. I wasn't thrilled when he was announced the new OC but I'm warming up to him pretty quickly.

Chudzinski or Brad Childress would have been vastly superior selections to Brian Daboll
if Sparano wanted to make the calls himself, he could have floated the position to Pennington
selecting Daboll reflects Sparano's insecurity, incompetence & lack of respect for the team
Sparano is simply a parcelian experiment in coaching gone bad, he is not HeadCoach material
Miami will suffer in 2011 with his return. it is what it is

    Look at it this way...
We've got Nolan returning to run a powerful defense that looks to improve next year with experience.
We can hire anyone off the street to fix the ST performance (I'm exaggerating, but seriously, any improvement would be noticeable I feel).

So that leaves the offensive side of the ball, where one of two things is going to happen:

Daboll's unit will play at at average or above this year, and we'll be a contender.
    or
Daboll's unit will play below average, and we'll be firing Sparano, Doball, and be in a better position with draft picks and draft position to gun for Andrew Luck hard.

Personally, I don't see the point in getting up in arms and upset about a move like this until we know more about the guy. His body of work really doesn't tell you a whole lot about how he will fit with this team (in regards to our receivers, QB, OL, and RBs).

The move isn't anything to get excited over, but its hardly anything to look at and think the sky is falling.

Look, I do not know about Chudzinski. Maybe he would have been better, but when he was OC of the Browns, he had a lot more to work with than Daboll. As far as Brad Childress, keep in mind that this man was the offensive coordinator for the Eagles for years and was not allowed to call plays during that time. So to say that he would have been superior with such certainty is a little bit of a stretch.

I've got a Marshall jersey. So what.
KP you and I are on the same page when it comes to Henne and Henning. Here is where we differ. I think Marshall was hamstrung by Henning's playcalling just like Henne was. Marshall is a badass when catching the ball moving either forward or across the field. The stops and come-backs and other BS that the old senile bastard was calling do not equate to many YACs with his back to the end zone. Hopefully, we will all be pleasantly surpised next season if the offense is truely opened up and firing on all cylinders.

Did Henning have him drop all those passes and make the stupid penalties?

I'm glad Henning is gone, but Marshall had his problems also.

I don't deny that he had his own problems. Many of those he created himself out of frustration. I watched him play in person every home game his senior year at UCF and followed him closely at Denver and all I'm going to say is that those that say he is a bust, overrated, etc. are dead wrong. If Daboll utilizes him properly next season, and our QB (whomever that may be) gets him the ball out in front, up high, on crossing patterns, it will be something special and fun to watch.

Never said he was a bust or overrated, but he does get his share of the blame this year.

Unless they (Sparano, Ireland & Ross) do the old, "we have to be patient and give him at least 2 years" business.
