Yeh dont know what I was thinking lmao. I really wanted the Pats. I should have known Paul would foil my plans again.
That has less than zero chance of happening. Probably better odds for us to make a player trade Alen. lol.
Pretty much you were the only one with the Jets in their top five. I even tried to find a Jets fan to do this too. I tried, E... I tried.
Man everything already filed up and no place for a 3rd year GM that sucks ! I guess i just have myself to blame thought
For what it’s worth, I told Griddles that if someone wants an assistant/co-GM of the future (think Bill and Chris Polian) I guess I’d be on board.
yeah. i moved to alaska because you wouldnt give me Jacob Hester for less than a 3rd rounder. i just couldnt sleep at night. the only solution was moving to where moose poop in the road.
Not really. You gave up a starting OL and a potential starting CB for the second to last pick in round three. I had like fifteen picks and more cap room then god at the time so the assets I gave up didn't mean much compared to what I got back.
I don't know... I reckon at the time it was a fair trade... Berger wasn't listed as the Dolphin starter (we all thought Grove would be back), perhaps he had potential to start and Will Allen was at worst a good nickel back. If you were to quantify trade value of each player at that point in time, I'd say Will Allen worth maybe a late fourth round pick, Berger... maybe a late fifth round pick. So a late third equals a late fourth and late fifth? Arguable... But now... Berger has a season as the starting center to which it can be argued he is nothing more than a backup, so his grade would drop IMO... and Will Allen, because of the knee injury and the fact that he's 33, I would doubt that you'd see his late fourth round grade improve?
Berger, believe it or not is a slightly above average C based on his performance this past year. After last season he was the 4th ranked C in the league. While Allen's grade didnt improve, he was coming off a solid 09 season last year. Id say I did just fine. Id make that deal every day of the week where I get two good players for the second to last pick in round three..especially when I had a few higher thirds left.
Know what? I traded for Ricky as a 1-2 with Shonn Green, had cap room, Ricky ran 159 for 673 and 4.2 avg, had rushed for a 1000 prev yr and I gave up the 20th pick in the 4th. So what's the issue?
i take that as a no... JMH... Google the number 4:20 or 420 and see what it means... then realize its relationship to Ricky Williams and his ehem "past"....
