I like this hire more now than I did at first, Fipp is a fmr Secondary Coach so if Bowles leaves he could chip in on designing coverages, and in SF it sounds like Al Everest did a good job in 09 but jumped at the chance to work in Pittsburgh, Kurt Schottenheimer (son of Marty) was hired and the ST unit slid backwards rapidly even with adding Ted Ginn to handle returns.

So, if that's the case then why is this guy Rizzi's assistant? Who by the way has shown no reason as to why he should still be on staff.

I think it may have something to do with having #18 ST guy in J Allen, #40's N Jones, Hilliard, and Hartline in 09, and our top guy in 2010 being #57 Nate Ness.

There is very little time to make any changes during the season, especially with the practice time allowed the ST's.

I believe that we need to take 10 deep breaths and allow all the coaches time to coach, and for all fans to see the results. In the NFL, you can't come in, add water, and expect anything to grow.

My question with all the new coaches is will they be growing things or, just adding fertilizer? Time will tell.
