The draft will take place as scheduled. However, the picks cannot be signed until a new CBA is reached. If this drags on, as anticipated, there will be a shortened camp and pre-season.

Should that happen I do not see how rookies, even 1st rounders, can make much of an impact depending position. Does this have any affect on who a team, needing immediate help, may pick?

    In first with Chad Henne!

    As for the actual post...

I'd think that it would play a role. If I'm in need of a QB and can't sign him until the CBA is done, would I wait till next year? This would apply to those positions where an immediate impact isn't expected I would think. Great post!

I'm also looking at the OL. A rookie has his work cut out for him to fit in on blocking schemes. Without camp and pre-season, he will be tripping over his feet.

Now, a RB can come in and just run. Ingram is looking better. :)
