It’s still a sequence of intermediary steps that most people aren’t going to engage in.

My coworker and I just made a video (with my iPhone) of the Evo running several different Flash based video and other sites. Basically if you're not running one of those "special flash sites" optimized for mobile (that droid will happily link you to all 12 of them lol) the thing runs like absolute crap and it's practically unusable.

Anyhow... When **** slows down here I'll post a video on just how great flash is on a droid.

You'll also want to buy a set of these for every place you'll spend more than an hour or two lol....

ESPECIALLY if you're using all that blazing fast 4G speed and all that flash garbage regularly

i really like my iphone. i love that it is also an ipod. i never had an ipod before and ive loved this phone because of how much i can do on it. i use it for everything. facebook, twitter, email, maps, weather, movie tickets, sports news and scores, games, music, texting, and calling peeps. im sure most of the smart phones out there do all these things. but iphone does them simply and quickly. Ive seen another phone that could rival the iphone, which is the mytouch4g from tmobile. my father has one and claims the 4g is faster than his broadband at home. ive seen the phone and its a workhorse. contact photos are automatically updated from facebook, as well as status messages. not that important but kinda cool. all the mytouch apps are free, which is a huge bonus. the mytouch also doubles as a wireless internet device for your laptop. just plug it in and you have highspeed internet wherever youre at for free. but its not an ipod. so it really depends what you want from your phone. for my father who is constantly in different homes and offices, the wireless internet from his phone is a huge bonus because it saves him about $70 a month, which pretty much pays for the service.

im sticking with my iphone, and ill probably get the 4g when i am elligible for an upgrade.

yes using your phone causes it to drain battery... iphone users can only do what papa jobs allows to be done on their limited phone besides using it as an MP3 player...

dont be jealous us droid users can actually do stuff with our phones... iphones sure do have a lot of battery time sitting idle in your pocket... might as well get one of these...

Easy now guys, don't get too heated with this thing. I thank all of you for giving your thoughts and helping with the decision. In the end, I decided to go with the droid x because I felt it suited my needs better.

This phone also doubles as a means of self-defense. Very handy dense weapon with keen edges and decent grip. So here's my question...

Can your iPhone or Droid protect you from a pack of hungry wolverines?

I refuse to pay to play in Apple's walled garden. It may work for some but I find Android does the job and does it well.

What will happen with an Iphone and tethering is probably what happens when you use any phone to tether to any device...your data session will drop and defer to the call since after all these are phones first. :)
Just a heads up, I nearly ruined my phone with a 3rd party higher mhz battery. I had a friend of mine who works for a cell phone brand open it up and replace the part that blew out because of the battery. My incredible works fine again but dude, speaking from experience I wont mess with those cheap 3rd party things again. They dont work the same and they dont have any kind of warranty or protection against stuff like what happened to me. I dont want you to deal with what i dealt with.

Define “new.” As in totally new, the way the iPhone 4 is completely and radically different from the 3GS? Probably not.

After removing the AT&T restrictions and rooting. Nope. Just no one named Jobs threatening to ban my handset for rooting(jailbreaking) it.

Good news, Jobs doesn’t threaten to ban iPhones for Jailbreaking, either.

Rule of thumb when it comes to new gadgets: when in doubt, wait.

Yes. You lose the jailbreak when you update, because the new iOS version isn’t jailbroken out of the box. So you either update immediately and wait for a jailbreak, or wait for the jailbreak then update.

You aren’t locked out when you jailbreak.

Jobs doesn't have a say on jail breaking.

    http://news.cnet.com/8301-13578_3-20011661-38.html

I guess Apple could go the t-mobile G2 route and reinstall the OS from hardware everytime the phone boots...

Yeah, I think is like the T-mobile data caps. They'd like too, but there isn't that much difference between the carriers to risk pissing off a portion of their current or potential customer base. Hurray for capitalism.

I expect to be thanked for this post too Desides, the precedence has been set...

    I split the difference.

They’re offering their standard unlimited plan for $30. Don’t see that changing, at least not for a while. They need to see how iPhone users affect their network, and then they can adjust plans. Can’t really do that without seeing how the iPhone 5 impacts things.

Tap Tap Revenge announced for Android. But what is this? Someone created a live wallpaper, called it Tap Tap Revenge, and put it up for sale.

This same “developer” is basically ripping the App Store off wholesale. And thanks to the way the Android Market works, nothing will happen to him.

Im about to trade my work blackberry in for a droid. I think I'm going to wait for the Thunderbolt, and get on the 4G LTE. It seem like a solid phone. One concern i have is the droids compatibility to computers. Can you hook it up via USB and import/export data well?

I have an iphone for personal use, and because of my macbook, its a truly an awesome system. i have a 3gs and will probably just wait for the summer, until they switch to 4G as well. Then I'll make the switch to Verizon from ATT.

Don’t bother. LTE chipsets are still battery life hogs, and LTE networks aren’t widespread enough to be worth caring about anyway. (When a carrier advertises its 4G network, they’re referring to HSPA+, which is really 3.5G.)

Don’t count on LTE in the next iPhone. Next year’s release, the iPhone 6, is a more likely candidate.

Just in time for the iPhone: Verizon reserving the right to throttle data speeds for the top 5% of bandwidth consumers

They’re also going to resize and compress (“optimize” in corporate newspeak) audio and video.

    I’ll stick with AT&T.

I live in an area that will have more 4G coverage than probably anywhere else in North America. And as it expands, it will most likely expand throughout my region first. Do you think 4G LTE will be marginal or insignificant in terms of being superior to 3G?

And do you think, at this point, its worth it to just wait for this summers Iphone 5, since a whole redesign and new features are being rumored?
