http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/college_big_board_rankings.html&position=all 1. No QBs in the top 25 2. Kyle Rudolph rated as the 15th best player 3. Christan Ponder rated as 2nd best quarterback prospect in the draft, behind only Blaine Gabbert.
If Blaine Gabbert is there at #15 then we may pull the trigger on him. But I'd guess anyone who takes a Qb in the top 20 is then reaching if NFP's big board is correct?
When I clicked on the grading scale (for some reason the Mock Link on the site wouldn't work for me), it showed his mock draft. It had us taking Aldon Smith, which is the 1st mock I've seen Miami taking a defensive player. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/NFP-Prospect-Grading-System.html
I could live with that selection, but to pass on Von Miller to select Aldon Smith? 5 OT's in the first rd? With 8 going in the first rd in 2008, 4 in 09 and 4 in 2010 in the last 3 yrs 21 Offensive Tackles have been drafted in the first rd the last 3 seasons. Let's glance at the second rd: 2010-4 OT's 2009-3 OT's 2008-0 OT's In the last 3 drafts there have been 28 offensive tackles taken in the 1st or second rd, which would point to Draft 2012's class will not be in very high demand.
They have Owen Marecic as the 21st ranked player OVERALL in the draft. The list was put together by a crack addict.
Looks like #1 overall, but can't say for sure. This is a thread I found.. http://forums.thephins.com/showthre...draft-4-7-10&highlight=National+Football+Post
That looks like their mock which could be pretty different from their rankings. If that is reflective of their rankings and they had Clausen and Tebow that high last year and have these guys ranked this low this year then I don't put a whole lot of stock into what they say.
Sorry I was only using that to point out that it *seems* they had Bradford ranked #1 overall. Can't really get anything more from it IMO.
