He has an option to be a Free agent if he decides to leave Oakland he is a Guy i think the Dolphins should try and pick up along with Trufant from the seahawks. what would u guys think about picking these two guys up?

The issue with Asomugha is that the Raiders can simply franchise him. They aren't currently franchising a player, meaning they won't have to decide between Asomugha and another player, and Asomugha is one of the top three corners in the NFL. There's really no reason beyond incompetence the Raiders wouldn't franchise him.

If he actually hits free agency, great. But don't count on it. If you want a free agent cornerback, Marcus Trufant is infinitely more likely a candidate.

Sure you can. Asante Samuel hasn't had a regular contract with the Patriots for the last two seasons. He was franchised in 2006 and again this year.

The Sea Hawks franchised Walter Jones three years, cause he would not sign a long term deal.

    Nothing.

It has everything to do with your stating that players who are out of contract cannot be franchised.

Take our injuries and mix in the effort some vets aren't giving, and we're practically fielding a 30-man roster right now.

Main priorites this off-season has to be re-signing Hadnot, signing a premier corner or linebacker and possibly going after Travele Wharton the left tackle from Carolina.

It all starts with the Defensive Line. We need people who can put pressure on the QB and stop the run. The Phins gave been getting destoyed every week and until that changes, then we have little to no chance of even being close in a game.

Getting Asomugha is a dream at this point, he's the best corner in football not named Champ. he'll opt out of his deal and the Raiders will tag him, it's simple, unless al Davis does something incredibly stupid, which has been known to happen.
