Just when I stopped watching after HBK retired, they pulled me back with HBK in the HOF and now The Rock. I want to see a Rock/Shawn Michaels promo...since both (or just HBK) are done wrestling. A Rock/Shawn Michaels feud would have been amazing. Looks like we missed it by a year. And some classic Jericho/Rock/Stephanie & Trish/Rock promos.

Rock smoked it. Absolutely smoked it. And he did it without a ****ing script. He decimated Cena and completely confused all the little kids in the crowd. Cena can't touch Rock on the mic and his best bet is to not even try. It made me miss the heydays.

The rumors of Rock hosting I figured, were just that. I assumed it was Steve Austin which would have been acceptable, albeit ultimately disappointing. The Rock was the perfect surprise. Kudos to everyone involved who got it done. I am curious how much he is getting paid. He won't be here to stay, but he was perfect for tonight and for WM. He just popped hundreds of thousands of buyrates. Book it.

Missed the first hour, but I heard they revealed UT in the promo. Sort of disappointing, but I think they did the right thing since they probably realized the Sting rumors were going to kill the Undertaker return. Just tell people now and prepare them.

Rock's return would overshadow Sting imo. Promo was perfect. He basically said screw you PG raiting

The Rock was great last night. It really exposed how cardboard/vanilla the current roster is. Although The Rock is tough to compare to. Obviously The Rock isn't going to wrestle although I'm sure the WWE will tease the hell out of a Rock/Cena match. Good for The Rock for putting him in his place though.

that was awesome. it was like he never left. they have to be going somewhere with Rock/Cena angle though, or he would not have buried Cena that much. IF (and it is a big "if" with the merchandising and goodwill he brings the WWE behind the scenes via Make A Wish Foundation, etc.) they are going to turn Cena heel at some point soon, then The Rock is how they will make it happen. his promo last night, plus a couple more down the line focusing on ridiculing Cena, would completely bury the guy to all but the youngest fans.

Great move getting the Rock involved again. The guy just has it. His feud with Mick Foley a few years back was epic. I miss the days when the WWE[F] was that good.

Hearing The Rock will be the Special Guest Referee for The Miz vs. Cena at WM.

Read it on another board so we'll see. Makes sense though.

    The ever exciting big show

Trish Stratus got the worst pop ever (when she was announced as a tuff coach) for someone returning mainly to people wanting someone with more star power.(how could she follow the Rock from Monday night.) They should of just announced her IMO so then people didn't wait in anticipation for someone big to come rolling out.

Why is that so obvious? I'm not saying he'll jump full time back into the grind but why wouldn't he have matches from time to time? Maybe he decided this was his true passion over being in movies. I might be guilty of some wishful thinking here. I could start watching WWE regularly again with Rock around on a regular basis.

Noticed something...Before the Undertaker came back, right at the 10:00 hour, a graphic said TV PG..like they used to do at the 10:00 hour back in the attitude era. Also noticed that Cena and Miz were a little more ballsy than usual. Hopefully that trend comes back...Oh wait..There's HHH!

(Yes, I'm watching on a delay!)

  27. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

It has been TV-PG for a long while now. Did you mean TV-14? I didn't notice one way or the other.

If you didn't know who it was before today, the WWE completely gave it away by showing the UT symbol hanging above the ring during the beginning. Sort of odd to have HHH interrupt right away. Assumed they would give UT some time to talk, but they seem to sort of just want to get that established ASAP so that people know where that is going.

Cena's retort tonight was pretty good. Credit when do. Rest of the show was okay. Nothing too bad, or too good. Lawler vs. Cole is announced which serves its purpose of giving Lawler his WM moment before he reportedly goes away for good, but the match will be awful to say the least.

Because Rock has stated numerous times he's done wrestling matches for good. Plus when someone like him gets 7 figures to star in movies there's not enough money the WWE can offer him to get him to wrestle just one match, it's too much of a risk for him to get hurt.

The Triple H/UT showdown was great and loved how they didn't even have to say a single word to get the match/angle over with. I'm glad they didn't let either talk this week.

Liked the Cena response to The Rock as well.

Sheamus bores the crap out of me and now it looks like they're giving him the 'loser angle' with a match with Bryan at WM which will probably lead to him winning the US title and having continued silence during his matches. Too bad the WWE won't give us a good match with Bryan and Morrison instead.

Honestly, they could have easily had Morrison win the EC match and build up the Miz/Morrision feud. Hopefully, they'll build a Morrison/Punk feud for a WM match.

  31. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

Morrison-Punk? Come on Silver. You have to know they are leading to a Punk-Orton match at Wrestlemania. And I am okay with UT/HHH...just thought they would give UT more than a second to enjoy his return, but either way. At this point he should demand that HHH put his career up much like HBK. UT has already beaten HHH at a WM so he has nothing to gain, outside of collecting another soul (retiring HHH).

As it stands right now, it looks like WM is the following:

    Miz vs. Cena
    Edge vs. Del Rio
    UT vs. HHH
    Cole vs. King
    Punk vs. Orton
    Sheamus vs. Bryan
    Rhodes vs. Misterio

That leaves many guys with nothing right now, including Dolph, Morrison, Kofi, Christian, Dibiase, Barrett, McIntyre, Swagger

Or...perhaps they all go into a MitB match?

I wish they would retire the annual MiTB match at WM, especially since they have the MiTB PPV now. I'd rather see Morrison vs. R-Truth, Barrett vs. Kofi and Christian vs. McIntyre.

That still leaves Kane and Big Show without anything to do. Maybe Show vs. Nash, since they hinted a little bit of it at the Rumble?

Word is both DiBiase and Swagger are in the WWE dog house right now.

Also Jericho will not be involved with WM this year with so many returning stars he feels like he needs to return when the focus is on him to have the most impact. I completely agree.

Also it appears that Sunny is going to be inducted into the WWE HOF this year. Other names floating around are Bob Armstrong and Abdullah the Butcher (who may be put in next year due to WM being in FL and him being big down there).

Interesting no mention of Goldberg who looked to be a lock once he signed the WWE Legends deal last year.

@Samphin: You do have a point with Punk/Orton, but after that spray attack on Morrison, and Morrison's performance week after, you'd think it would be a great build up.

Abdullah was big in Florida, but also in WCW and in the NWA Georgia Territory... plus he is an Atlanta resident. so i am guessing he would go in this year if they are gonna put him in with Mania in Atlanta. he owns a BBQ joint called Abdullah the Butcher's House of Ribs, or something like that in the Atlanta area. or at least he used to.
