Looking back at this game the Fins really beat us up and outplayed us. I believe you guys had more total yards then us like 427 yards of total offense. It is amazing after that game I thought the Packers were never going to get in the playoffs. That was our only home loss of the season as well and it was a great game if you werent a fan of either team. As a Packer fan I really think you guys got hosed on that Ronnie Brown call of him being short of the first down on 4th and 1. You guys got a payback call later though with the Packers being offsides on the punt. Maybe we will meet again in the super bowl.

I was at that game. The first half might've been the best half of football the Dolphins played all year. It would've been even better had Brandon Marshall gotten his second foot in bounds just before the half.

I attended the game with a Packers fan, and he still reminds me to this day, the Packers were missing Grant, Finley, and Barnett and the Dolphins had a bye week to prepare for that game. I'd like to think Miami can compete with teams like the Packers, Steelers, Jets, etc. given how we performed throughout the year on a week to week basis. But, some of that that was definitely catching the Packers at an advantageous time for Miami.

*Edit: I forgot Matthews didn't play in that game either.

I think the only reason Miami had such a good game was
your team was decimated with injuries and we only managed to squeak by
If we would have played the Packers towards the end of the season
when your team started its drive the outcome would have beet quite different

    We really don't know!

We had a better OL during that time and they were playing with a mission during that game... Injuries to the OL and WR's took the toll on the team at the end...

but you can say that both teams had a different outlook in the last 3-4 games of the season...

Miami was basically out with 3 games remaining, while GB had everything work for them to make the Post Season...

I don't subscribe to the injury thing, considering they won the Super Bowl with the same team.

Any given Sunday is true. We lost to the Browns and Lions. That's how good we really were.

For every great moment we had this season, there was a correspondingly bad point. Sure, we played well against the Packers, but what about both Pats games, the Ravens game, the Browns game, the end of the Lions game which was an embarrassment on both sides of the ball.

Fasano's fake Lambeau leap was classic! I could watch it over and over and over..... that was probably my favorite offensive play we had all stinkin season.

Clay Matthews didn't play and Aaron Rodgers was a week off a concussion. Plus, you know...any given Sunday, a good team can take a week off. Especially if they're facing an out of conference opponent.

Our players were inspired by a real home field advantage, they had energy to play, thats why their so good on the road, and suck at home, where the have 0 energy source.

Miami is generally a "tough out" solid in the trenches on both sides and a secondary that doesn't give up a lot of "easy" yards...that game some of the weaker parts stepped it up mostly the passing game and STs.

It was a great game, my first Dolphins game. I will never forget it.

150 yards rushing, 127 yards receiving from Marshall, didn't lose turnover battle, five sacks on Rodgers while giving up zero, Carpenter 3/3 on field goals, no special teams blunders... it was probably the most complete game from the Dolphins this year.

Dolphins played very well. Marshall had a big game, I think Tramon shadowed him more though as the game went on to try and shut him down. Dolphins running game had over 100 yards rushing. In the book im reading it summarizes every Packer game this season and Rodgers says in that game on 4th and goal at the 1 yard line at the end he had to fake like he was doing an audible and take the snap from center and rush it in really fast. Rodgers knew the Dolphins were gearing up to stop the fullback Kuhn so he would try to take it himself. I myself think Miami fans were the best visiting fans this season and Buffalo was fun as well to have at Lambeau. Both fans were fun to talk with and we hope you guys visit again.

The Packers cant use injuries as an excuse for losing to Miami. They won the Super Bowl without Grant or Finley for the majority of the year. They beat the Steelers with most of their secondary out.

As far as contending with the Packers, Steelers, and Jets....of course we can. We beat Green Bay, beat the Jets, and beat the Steelers but got robbed.

The Dolphins main issues were issues that developed as the season progressed. The more home games we lost, the less fans showed up to games. We also developed a nasty play calling habit once we entered field goal range. It isn't a problem of talent, but rather coaching.

Henne can be a sufficient QB if the staff understands how to utilize him properly. He will always throw picks. But if we didnt have that field goal mentality, those picks wouldnt matter as much because we would have many more touchdowns to compensate with.

Consider this. Peyton Manning threw 28, 15, 15, 23, 19 interceptions in his first 5 years as a starter. The difference is he hasnt thrown less than 26 TDs in any season as a pro. His TD:INT ratio in those first 5 years was 1.38, while Henne has a TD:INT ratio of .82. Manning has since improved his ratio to 2.01. Hopefully Henne can do the same, given the opportunity.
