I haven't heard much but what do you think about Colin Kaepernick now the QB workouts are over? I think he performed well and even ran a good 40-time. He showed he had a strong arm too. What do you think?

I don't think he will be on the board when we draft in the 3rd round. He was pretty good.

I would like to see him with Miami but I don't know it will happen. That would be nice though.

trade back and pick him up in the second round. He has a monster arm and is willing to learn. Id rather have Ryan Mallett but he needs to learn how to handle pressure on and off the field

I like him as a second round prospect. I'm hoping we can trade down and pick up a 2nd. He's not a first round guy b/c he has two big concerns. He has a long stride (almost like he's pitching) which slows his release down. Second he's not good at the deep pass. On the plus side, he has great velocity on his passes. He had the fastest ball at the combine. When he throws from the pocket his accuracy is great. When he throws on the run his accuracy is good. Athletically he is very good. I think that 4.53 from the QB position is something that teams will have to account for. Now he's more fast than quick, but I still think he's quicker than most NFL QBs. I like his size and he has no character or intelligence concerns. IMO his velocity is such that it compensates for his elongated stride. The people who don't like him seem to see that stride (and the release) as damning and don't think he's that accurate. I think that his above average velocity, accuracy and athleticism gives him a chance to be a franchise guy down the road. I see that potential as sufficient to warrant a 2nd round bet.

When watching the video I do not see a slow release. It might be slower than the average QB, however it isn't anything that looks to be too much of a concern. It isn't like he has a Leftwitch release.

You used the wrong form of "you're" and misspelled Mallett (despite it being clearly visible multiple times with every post I make) en route to falsely accusing him of being unintelligent? :smartass:

The problem with Mallett was not his intelligence, it was his alleged drug use, however, a report today seemed to dispel that:

Ironically, that news was brought to us by our very own Armando Salguero on Twitter.

In regards to Ponder, though, I apologize. The only similarities between Ponder and Pennington are the P's in their last names. Ponder is not as accurate as Chad Pennington, but his arm strength is exceptional... Also, Ponder does not carry the risk of injury like Pennington; do you know Pennington has had multiple shoulder surgeries?

I'd change my status and signature to accommodate my newfound love, but being as mentally inept as Ryan Mallett... I just don't know how! :shifty:

I honestly believe he is going to be a first round pick.
