They did make the right decision with him, what fan wants to see their favorite player put out to pasture?
I personally think JT is a very selfish idiot. It's not hating him. It's what I saw out of him starting with his offseason antics of wanting to be traded while dancing with scars. However, as a Miami Dolphin, he gave me many great memories. Ones like sacking and knocking the snot out of Tom Brady. Over and over..... Since I am also selfish, and he did not win a SB with the team that I hate the most, I can forgive him. I do think he plays the media too much to his advantage. Like telling everyone about the contract offer from Parcells and how he went on and on about not asking for a trade, and we all know he wanted out. Yeah, the team sucked at that time. Totally sucked but as i said, I am selfish to. I don't care but it's ok JT. Hope in your travels, you realize you probably should have just rode it out. Now take a year off and if the team puts you up in the ring of honor, you deserve it from your play alone. But like I said, I hope you learned that Miami was meant to be your 1st and only destination and listening to all those demons did nothing to benifit you....lol
Right on Bro, more or less how I see it, but maybe I have a softer spot for him though I know he counts on that to happen. I hope this is a good week: -we sign Jeremy Shockey -we sign JT to a one day contract so he can retire as the Dolphins best Defensive Player. Give the man his due, as unlikely as it is that anyone will ever break Marino's Dolphins Records, it is just as unlikely anyone will break JT's career sack mark (127?) and his tie for the single season sack total. Odd way, if we had the Shula Era/Griese Era/Marino Era, JT and Ricky Williams are symbols of a less than great era in Dolphins History.
The Quentin Moses role? Moses was a strongside linebacker who subbed in mostly in run downs, and got 185 snaps. If you gave Jason Taylor 185 snaps he might not have actually had a sack.
After the sack on Brady and Henne, I no longer have the same hatred I once had against him. However, he is done. He had more success as a team this season than he did his entire career with you guys so I don't care what anyone says.. Good luck, JT.
Seriously dude, off yourself, It doesnt have to be painful, just keep your car running in the garage, close the doors and windows and breathe in that CO.
Better for his modeling career and future movie career to have the NY tag on you. That does not bother me one bit.
Sure, because he would potentially merited the snaps. Taylor's the one who apparently can't handle 600 snaps.
Can someone please answer me why this troll is allowed to pollute this forum with his garbage? It's really beyond time for hm to go...and I don't think you would find one (dolphin fan) member that would argue this..
Wow, your dumbass posts have just been taken to a new level. or maybe I just didn't notice before because I stopped reading your posts a long time ago. JT's effort and productivity for you this year wasn't even mediocre. He was brought in as a pass rush specialist and did very little to live up to that title.
I lost the majority of respect I had for JT, but if he wants to retire a Dolphin, I'm still okay with it. or rather, doesn't really matter one way or the other.
HAHA, good one dude. But lets not forget that you were supposed to win the whole thing this year, so in reality your entire season was a failure. 2nd place is the first loser bro, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.
Does to me, JT has earned respect for his time in Miami, like it or not he is one of the all time great Dolphins players, I do think Ozman nailed it when he said JT was egotistical and manipulative and incredibly self centered, embellished that last part, but the point is JT was the Dolphins Star for a Decade and credit where it is due. He kinda cracked up in his last 3 yrs though, DWTS, trade, then off to the Jets, it is what it is that is why I appreciate what he has done and meant to Miami, but there is no halo for him in my eyes. To me he went from the Defensive Version of Dan Marino to being slightly above AJ Duhe in Dolphins history.
JT will always be one of my favorite players. I rooted against his TEAM last season and I never wished him to play well against the Dolphins, but I also never wished him anything but the best. However, I love that guy and enjoyed every second I watched him play. I hope he retires a Dolphin. He is a Dolphin.
Sorry but Jason Taylor is no Longer a Dolphin in my heart, soul, or mind. He lost that right when he joined the Jets. Had he gone to any other team I would feel different. He openly antagonized the Dolphin fanbase during his two games against us, and speaking badly about us and the franchise. This would be as bad as Marino joining the Bills back in the day and taunting the fans in my book. Jason your GAMBLE and that is what it was didn't pay off. Your not welcome nor wanted in Miami... Thats my opinion and sadly I feel he handled this horrible.. Karma is a *****.. Maybe some day and I mean in 10 years you can come back to the ring but not before than!
Screw Jason Taylor..... his legacy is tarnished for me. I'll turn my back when and if he retires a Dolphin.
I've never seen this much berating for opinions. One of the first things you learn in logic is that opinions aren't wrong.
