I think he'll be drafted in the first round.. I think the hate on Locker is overblown, but I certainly wouldn't draft him at #15 (if I were Miami).
Here's a comment - I had to go waaaaaaaaaaaaay down my draft board to find his name to cross off. But like others don't know much about him at all.
No, I didn't intend to draft Locker. I had a list of guys I would take as they were falling regardless of if I needed them or not. Leshoure, Rudolph, Paea, Heyward... the list of guys that ended up going before my pick. Real good value here though.
I don't see him as a LT. I see him as a great Guard. I think he will be a good fit for the Raiders who need to rebuild there line
Yeah I would try him at RT if I need him there but I think his best position in the NFL will be at guard.
Since the rams got such a steal with Bowers in Round one they should forefeit their second round pick. Thoughts?
next person can jump if they would like. im giving this also trade proposal a couple minutes. if not ill make the pick.
No, you can jump in if Skeet doesn't pick by 11AM ET though. However if Skeet picks tonight, you can pick.
I am listening to trade offers but there is a certain someone on the board (not a position of need for me) that is just too good to pass up IMO... I'll listen but will likely make my pick later tonight... It is me and the misses 8th wedding anniversary, so once the kids get put to bed here in a sec, I might be indisposed for a little while.
dam blt took reed, he was the player i really wanted but heyward was too good to pass up. knew he woupdnt make it to 63
before the draft started i was looking at him targeted in the 3rd round in the GM League (think he'll go 2nd rd in the NFL Draft though). i had him as my 4th rated corner but thought people would draft flashier names since he missed alot of 2010. I feel he might have been a first rounder if he had stayed healthy in 2010. the guy has size, ran a 4.4 and has the hands of a receiver. The only risk I see in the pick is if his injuries linger. The only reason I had to pull the trigger on him this early is there was a run on corners and there was only one other corner I would even consider drafting left on the board. cant say i know much about your pick but i trust your judgement so i will keep an eye on him in the pros
so much for making that pick tonight... trade offer came in, but the guy has disappeared... we'll have to wait until tomorrow AM to make the pick fellas.
And with both of the OLB targets I wanted off the board (Sheard and Reed), I'm glad I made the decision to trade down.
I was trying desperately to trade up for Sheard and/or Wilson, but oh well. I was going to take Taylor, but Paul did. Ended up with my next highest guy, which isn't all bad I guess.
i really think that Taylor and Smith both go late first/early second in real draft. They are both good value and i would have taken them at 44 but neither fits my team since i am running at 4-3 and I have plenty of WRs
Thanks. I really liked him but was hoping that either Hankerson or Reed would have made it down to this pick but Young isn't a bad consolation prize. There is still some nice talent on the board that I will be interested to see who falls.
Yea, I almost took him at 30 but I just couldn't get behind it. Nice pick, Boik. If I didn't have several RBs, I would have taken Williams at 51.
