More likely it would cost us our 2nd next year.

Go all in on offense this year, trade a farm of picks for the rights to luck. Late round draft depth.

If I played with a guy who I thought was an all world douche then I probably would avoid saying anything at all. The only people I would comment on would be the ones I could say positive things about. And if I were trying to help my client, I would get as many of the guys who were willing to say positive things to talk. That way even if for most of his career the majority of his team mates thought he was an all world douche it wouldn't appear that way.

And yes, I am biased against the guy, but only b/c I've been reading that he's an all world douche from various sources for years. That has lead me to believe that he is likely an all world douche. I find that more credible than the reports all dated since the end of the season that want to pretend that his team mates respect him.

I understand how if you hadn't been paying attention all along and all you read are the recent articles why you would believe what you do. I know for a fact that there have been reports for years about him being disliked by his team mates, drug problems and even laziness. I find those more credible than the recent ones. You are free to feel otherwise or even to believe those old reports didn't exist. I know they did.

Not according to a standard trade value chart. You always value one round lower when trading next year's picks.

New England is looking hard at Ingram but know we are at 15 ahead of them. With New England having 6 of the first 92 picks they have the tradeing tools to move up. I'm sure New England would like for us to pick a QB at 15.

It's roughly a month before the draft. It's very possible that Dallas has nothing lined up and is only trying to build value out of their #9 spot or announce to the league that they're willing to deal their pick. Actual talks about trading picks usually don't occur till within a week of the draft. I wouldn't read anything into a possible trade up this soon.

There is hope for the Dolphins at quarterback. They will workout Ricky Stanzi, a player I'm very close to naming the top quarterback in this draft on my board. Right now, Christian Ponder and Ricky Stanzi are 1A and 1B, with TJ Yates right behind them.

You can find reports that exist for nearly anything you want.

Whether you choose to believe them or conflicting reports is up to each individual. I think we have all had ample opportunity to see your standing on the matter.

Unless a new agreement is in place before the draft, you can't trade a next year's pick because there is no draft until a CBA is reached.

I don't believe I have been vague. I just think that consistent reports about some body's character over a 4 year period are more reliable than reports grouped in a smaller time frame when the player has much to gain by presenting a certain image.

What if the player ends up being a bust? Then you still need a franchise QB, and it cost you a first round pick to boot.

Maybe I just value draft picks more than most, but I'd venture to say there isn't a QB in this class worth taking that kind of a gamble on. Besides, it's not like there's not plenty of other areas in question on offense. OL, RB, and TE are all top priorities.

Someone that they may have very high on their draft board will very likely be there at #15. Possibly even further back. Like, say #20-25. Which, is why I feel we need to trade down. Get one of the players you have targeted, and get that second rounder back.

This team needs every draft pick it has, and more. Not less.

    JMHO...

    1) I think we should trade down, if that's not possible pick the best player on the board @ 15 & with our third & forth round choice pick the two best available offensive linesmen, later a RB & TE as they fall.
    2) would bring in a veteran QB on the cheap to compete with Henne & Thigpen
    3) next year will be a better draft for QB's.
free-agency, arena football or the Canadian league might provide some of what we need in 2011

    about the draft, thread whatever...

    1) I think we should trade down, if that's not possible pick the best player on the board @ 15 (REGARDLESS OF POSITION) , then in the third & forth round pick the best available offensive linesmen & later in the draft a RB & TE.
    2) would bring in a veteran QB on the cheap to compete with Henne & Thigpen
    3) next year will be a better draft for QB's. free-agency, arena football or the Canadian league may provide some of what we need in 2011. not to worry  we are not going to the SuperBowl in 2011

I'll admit--------- I've had thoughts about wishing I were so that my view of things like the floor would be pleasantly obstructed. I'm not sure if it's possible to get arrested for sexually harassing your own self, but I wouldn't put it past me if I were her. :shifty:

DJ, can I get a ruling on that? lol.

i'm not a big fan, but if we choose a QB @ 15, then Newton is the only one i'd choose ... but i'm still convinced that we'll trade down, and would be shocked if no other team elects to move up to grab either a DE or OT ....

trading down requires the opportunity to improve your draft
through trading down & a partner in the trade. not going to happen
how about we pick the best player @ 15 regardless of position
then use the next two picks on the best offensive linesmen available
