Having moved out of Braves country just last summer I must say I'm jealous that you live there and waste it. I have to pay 200 bucks for extra innings to see my games now. You are given the gift of living in the viewing region of a model MLB franchise and you're just throwing it away.

I'm just teasing, I don't have a problem with the Marlins most of the time. I spent the first 22 years of my life as a Floridian. But when I started watching baseball around 1989/1990ish Florida didn't have an MLB team. So Atlanta was 'our' team on the Gulf coast. I'm glad they brought baseball to the part of the Florida that can't get to Atlanta within a few hours drive. I wouldn't be that surprised if the Marlins make a strong push for a second place finish. Of course it will be the overrated Phillies they're knocking down to third.

John Buck will not make #1 on Sportscenter’s top 10. But he deserves it. What a hit.

    Marlins 4, Madoffs 0.

What an at-bat! Started 0-2, tons of pressure (first game with team, basesloaded, his pitcher needing support) and he comes through! Fantastic!

    Marlins 6, Madoffs 2.

The bullpen actually did not make me hurl. Major improvement already.

Btw, Dominguez fractured his elbow in a minor league game today (hit by pitch).

Between that and Stanton’s hammy, that sucks. Pitching is going to have to win the day tomorrow.

Only 2 strikeouts for the entire team today....both coming from JJ. Impressive.

Why not get MLB.tv, I believe it's only $100 dollars a year. And you can watch it on your iphone and ps3.

Sadly I was unable to watch the game. Its usually on TV but they had Magic and Rays on. *puke*

Anyway JJ performance was great as almost always. Nice to see the bullpen get some outs even tho it was only 1 game.

Stanton is out, Boni is in. Boni has fared well against lefties so I'm not too worried.

    Leo still sucks too!

Tough loss. Especially when Infante could have won it in the 9th. However, Hensley and Dunn looked good. The double he allowed to Harris wasn't even a bad pitch...he just went up and got it. Let's take the series tomorrow.

I could see Mike Dunn being a closer in the future if he continues to put down righties.

K-Rod is approaching that hate territory with me.

Ike Davis is going to be a huge run producer for the Mets. He does it all and is also great on defense. Love that kid. And it was nice to see Wright with a big game.

Nice win for the Mets. Rubber match tomorrow...good luck against the Dickster. You'll need it. :shifty:

As long as he doesnt finish 55 games next years 18M option is void. Maybe we have Castillo hit him in the elbow with a bat after he finishes game 54?

I don't know what to make of Javy's debut tbh. He got hit hard and walked many batters (which isn't like him), however his stuff wasn't bad and he was hitting 91. Maybe he just had a bad game, I dunno. Because I don't see him being that wild this year.

He's our Eric Heinske. Hopefully the fact that Stanton was inserted as a PH late in the game means he will be starting tomorrow. Not sure what to expect with tomorrows game, because frankly Volstad is extremely unreliable.

Stanton is most likely out all series. They said he should be able to pinch hit till he gets back, which would be Friday.

Volstad finished very strong last year. If he can go 6+, the rotation as a whole would have a nice debut (minus Javy).

Last year I used to cringe when we got to the pen, and always expected them to give up runs. Slowly Im beginning to expect the opposite.

His double was fantastic last night, took an early step expecting fastball, but re-acted well to the breaking ball and hit it hard down the line. Well done.

I'm more pleased with LOMO. He's to hoping he has a breakout year this year. Also did he play enough games last year to qualify as a "rookie" year?
