Kendall Hunter is still a good pick, Brewer aside. I don’t like Torrey Smith replacing Vincent Jackson, but the Chargers are doing pretty well.
I'm not a big fan of Smith either but with Jackson being such a head case, I don't have an issue with them letting him go and rolling the dice on a potential player.
Might I actually get to make my pick at 91 tonight? After a slow day yesterday, things are really moving today.
Draft board updated, Tampa has forfeited future picks. Quietly I like what a few teams have done quite a bit..Denver and KC have done well maximizing their picks with solid players imo. Not to say other teams havent done well, those two just jump out at me. Nicely done fellas.
I already give you your helping of criticism on House. I liked your last pick though. Now quit complaining ya dink
I've pretty much got the market cornered on the Balkans/Mediterranean. My crazy *** southern European > your crazy *** southern European
im pretty sure i got a 2nd round pick at the end of round 3. cant wait to see where hes taken in a few weeks.
Smith replacing VJax, Gates replacing Floyd, correct? Sorry, but I think you’ve got two very raw—talented, but raw—receivers replacing two quality veterans.
oh but wide receivers are overrated... anyone that trades a first round pick for one is completely insane.
not sure if this is sarcasm, if it is jokes on me, but 60% of the wide receivers who made the all pro team the last 10 years were drafted in the first round. Not too bad. If you think you have found a stud, i see no insanity going for it.
Only when it comes to you Paul. He was being Sarcastic since he traded a 1st rd pick for Greg Jennings
Sad to see Jerrell Powe go off the board. I was strongly considering him at 79 and then hoped he would somehow make it to 123 haha. Hes going to be a good player.
Nice pick Stitches. He was one of the players I was trying to trade up to get. By the way if anyone is interested in moving down I'm still very interested in moving up.
yeah he was in consideration at 79 for me as well, gambled he was going to make it to 97, lost that gamble. LOL
I think the need for elite WRs is lessened if you have an elite QB, not to say you can throw scrubs out there and get the same production, but talented players will get the job done with an elite QB. However, regarding what you posted above, of those 60% how many of those are actually different WRs? I'm guessing there are two all-pro WRs every year, so that would be 20 WR selections total. Well if Andre Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald each got it 3 times (for example) that'd be 30% of the selections right there. That sort of thing would definitely skew the numbers towards 1st rounders. Studs are worth whatever you (personally) value them at. Some WRs are worth 1st rounders, sure. But that doesn't mean you need to spend that to get someone who can be great for your team at the position IMO.
Sorry to slow things down guys, was trying to see if I would be able to get the pick in late last night but never happened. I'll try and get the pick in quick.
Just waiting for Paul to accept our trade. Hopefully things slow down a bit today because both Bears GMs will be out getting drunk tonight and we have a slew of picks coming up that aren't technically due until tomorrow, but we will do our best to keep things moving.
