Submit a bullpen to myself (and/or any other draft committee members) and we'll post whenever your picks come up, and you can get drunk to your liver's content. I have no "life" so I'll be around all day.
Carter is a good pick IMO, along with Burton and Gates (and one other player) I considered him a 89. Of course, for someone who's happy with their safeties, I'm not sure why you'd feel the need to trade up for one in the 3rd.
I needed a free safety to backup Byrd. After trading Meriweather i knew i needed to add one. Had my eye on Carter for a while. Had a second round grade on him. I think he can flip his hips in coverage and lay some huge hits. Rare combination but something you covet in a free safety. Think he is a great guy off the field as well as on it. He does a lot of work in the community.
Well, good to see you guys kept up the pace while I was gone. LeBron is as amazing to watch in person as he is on TV; got to see the Heat/T-Wolves game last night.
Lebron can't propel the Broncos to the SB, he would try to join the Packers or someone that doesn't put all that pressure on him. :'( Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
Pleasure doing business with you Paul. Were looking to add someone who can play ILB, so this trade worked out nicely for us. Glad you got your guy.
Always a pleasure working with you guys too. Thanks for posting the details in the trade thread while i drove to work.
I'm pretty sure the Jets are up at 94, if someone can PM them (or PM the real owner if it isn't the Jets).
I think I've seen the Steelers GM online most of the time he's been OTC... not trying to be pushy with when you make your picks but just remember that you cannot trade compensatory draft picks. I wasn't sure if it was made clear earlier or not.
Cool, was just making sure you weren't trying to swing a deal or anything. That would have been a mess.
Thanks Alen, he was a guy I saw play a couple times this year and saw him at the combine. He was a player I came in hoping to draft. Just wasnt sure if he would last til 4.119, that was my debate because there are a couple value players IMO that I like. In the end I didnt want to chance it
I like him, and was hoping he'd make it to my next pick. Definitely didn't expect him to go in the 3rd, but if you like the player enough, then who cares.
The Bears pick has to be amended, they thought the Steelers were actually picking with the 97th pick (which it was, but it's designated as C3A), they weren't on the clock. 096 - Cincinnati Bengals C3A - Pittsburgh Steelers C3B - New York Jets C3C - Minnesota Vikings Round 4 097 - Tennessee Titans 098 - Chicago Bears
I just want to say in general this is the most competitive GML from a drafting standpoint since I've been doing this. Way to go everyone!
I believe what he is saying is that its a weak draft but people are doing a good job snatching up the better players early. At the very least that is what I am saying.
God, I didn't expect Herzlich to go this early either. I guess, if you want a LB, better get him now.
