Yea, and Sheppard (Housler too, though I didn't mention it, he only went like 15 picks before I expected).
I guess it depends on where you grade guys. I had Julius Thomas rated higher than all the remaining TE's. Sheppard is solid IMO. I guess you can expect him to go higher with the class the way it is at that position.
I dont know dude, I thought Herz got better as the year went on and he got in to football mode and away from chemo mode. I think its a solid pick there as its got some potentially serious upside.
I agree with the last part, he's in my top 5 TEs for sure. I just thought he'd go around 110, that's all. With that said, I have like 10 guys on my board who I feel comfortable taking with my next pick, so I hope someone makes it (I imagine at least 1 will).
I like the pick, just like I did with Thomas and Sheppard. I just thought he'd be around longer, that's all.
i took sheppard when i did for same reason i took carter when i did, from my list of olb and ilb ers i wanted at the time i drafted they were last left. now there were other good ones it wasnt like my list was long ( 4olb, 3 ilb) but theey were the last of the small group i targeted, so it comes down to do i risk not getting the ones i targeted? to me i didnt want to risk either making it to my next pick
I understand the justification. I rolled the dice on waiting for Hunter and took Ellis instead because I was more worried about missing out on a DL I thought very highly of. I'm merely commenting on my own misevaluation of where those players would still be available at.
i hear ya. and i knew you werent bashing, more i had sheppard around the 4th, didnt think he would make it to the 5th so at 3CA i felt it was gamble since i had traded 106
Yea, I am a big fan of Herzlich and think his potential is through the rough. I thought he already had one of the best football IQs in this years draft and I think it is only a matter of time before his body catches up to that. My thought process on the selection is that we are getting to the point in the draft where people start rolling the dice a little bit more and I know that Herzlich has enough name recognition that I would have kicked myself if I let him get picked up before my 4th rounder. Happened already with Brooks Reed and the NT Ellis from Hampton, and I didnt want it to happen again. FWIW, on my bulletin list with Moch and Herz, I had Sheppard and Housler as 3 and 4.
This ain't a draft pick for the ages (no it isn't) This ain't even GISH brash moves, shake the audience demeanor (no it isn't) His name is Jason R. Pinkston and he was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Eighty Seven, before alen and after SICK... OK In March of 2011 my seemingly splinter-proof draft plan was formed I kept it on the hush, but nearly tumbling to the cold hard concrete on near bodega trips for ciggaretes and soda, shook me to kasper Dizzy with a nothern chaser, motor sensory eraser Gorophobe tunnel vision, guilt, self loathing arrangements. Is he a jack of all trades? No... He likes to block defenders tho' Is he good? I dunno.. But I could tell you that he only blocks sh*t when he's bleedin So take this how you want, but now he plays for Tennessee man.
Yea I dont do the "commitee" thing....like Im going to reveal my blue chip genuis pick to them so they can trade up and nab them at 102.
you could just tell one of them... one that is incapable of trading up. One that you trust... not stitches...
A magician never reveals his secrets... Moot point anyway as we are on pace to hit 103 sometime on Tuesday.
Okay, I’ve now received multiple trade offers. At this point, I would just like to remind everyone: Stop making trade offers for picks I don’t have.
It would be Richard Marshall to start off, because of his experience. But, Jason McCourty impressed me a lot last year. I think if those two were on a team in real life together, it would be a good battle.
Just got MY #1 rated S also! Actually he and Sands were 1 and 1a truthfully, Ive had an eye on those 2 for about 2 weeks now. With all due respect to Raheem Moore those 2 were higher on my board and once Carolina took Sands I started to really worry... I think Sands has better cover ability while McDaniel is a better playmaker and is outstanding inside the box, and he will fit really well in a couple of our defensive coverages.
Funny, because I had Sands and McDaniel 1 and 1a as well. I like Moore, but I like Sands and McDaniel more (no pun). After those 3 though, no other safeties really impress me in this draft class. The biggest thing I like between McDaniel and Sands is the ability they both have to play each safety position. I feel like both players could be great at the next level at either FS or SS, tbh.
^I think I may know who you are thinking of. Also, the Panthers are looking to trade up and add another 4th. Not really looking to do player for pick deals, but I'm open to all offers. But, I have the following picks available for a 4th rounder: 5.154, 7.193, 7.220.
I got my writeup ready for 108, if these mutants would hurry up and pick! Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
