Big rivalry out here. I go to Giants game and get **** thrown at me all the time. I once had a guy rip off the cup holder from the deat in ront of him and throw it at my head. Stupid that it escalates to the level that it did the other night, bu tnot surprising. A few years ago, a Giants fan was stabbed and killed after a game in L.A. They stopped selling beer in the bleachers due to the violence that was happening at games.
Such a shame that **** like this happens. I hope the guy recovers and his attackers get their due in jail
The frontal lobe? There is a great possibility that this guy is never going to be the same again, especially personality wise. It is absolutely pathetic that people go that far in sports. I don't give a damn if there's a big rivalry or not, this is inexcusable. Those savages basically ruined that guy's life..... over a ****ing baseball game? Hopefully they will go to jail.
First off, lets drop all pretenses that they did this over a baseball game. These guys went there seeking something like this out. The fact that the Dodgers won and they still jumped the dude should tell you that they simply don't give two ****s about baseball and instead just wanted to fight. The latest is that Stow is stable, although he isn't out of the woods yet. The talk of permanent brain damage has already been reported and part of his skull was removed due to the swelling of his brain. As a Dodgers fan living in the Bay Area, I am, for the first time, not going to any Giants-Dodgers games in San Fran this season. I have had stuff thrown at me, my life threatened, and parts of the stadium seats ripped off and thrown at my head. Given what just happened in L.A., I am not even too keen on wearing my Dodgers hat around twon for fear of retaliation. Sad day in sporrts when you can't even feel comfortable psorting your colors.
Been following this story a bit of late, and was wondering if there was a thread in here on it. Ironic Samphin should mention "colors", as it has been suggested the perps in question were gang bangers. Here's a recent story, and it's actually somewhat uplifting from the standpoint that rival fans came together to denounce this heinous and despicable act. But, I fear he will likely be a vegetable for the rest of his life. And, all because a couple of douche bags thought is was cool to beat and ultimately kick a prone man because he was wearing the wrong colors. Sad.
