As I stated before, not only is Darrelle Revis the best CB ever, he's climbing the charts and quickly becoming the most dominant defensive player to ever play the game of football. Deion Sanders does not even compare to him. Again, there is not a single soul that I will take over his. He's the most dominating player I ever got to see play, and I'm glad to call him a friend of mine. He's a really good guy! Look at those stats, PLEASE! Calvin who? Andre who? Greg Jennings? Roddy White? The man held Reggie Wayne to a single reception and yard. Sorry I haven't been posting much, I'm in medical school now and it's kinda hard. I know you guys miss me!
Never has so much been said about someone whom I care so little.Yes he is a great player but the Jets still blow.
Two straight appearances to the AFC Championship and we blow? Mark Sanchez is not even in his prime yet. I wonder how you feel about the Dolphins' future.
And I wonder how you will feel when your team drastically falls off. You are built to 'win now' and can't seem to do it. I am optimistic about the Dolphins as you are optimistic that Revis will accept your marriage proposal.
He is in "medical school". Which is Jet Fan translation for the training program they give you to pick up medical waste.
I like how you left out Week 5 2009. He is a truly dominant player though. Deion? I dunno. Revis is a really good tackler and Deion is legendary for admittedly avoiding contact. But Deion was also one of he greatest punt returners of all time. I guess it's how you want to classify them: cornerback or football player? Those 1994 stats....I'm gonna have to call BS though. Are they trying to claim those numbers came against Deion?
I wonder when the bromance between the poster and the player will come to an end? Always posting about Darelle Revis. He's very good, we get it. Move along now.
When you say "prime", do you mean when he hits a certain age bracket? Or when he achieves a level of performance beyond what he has demonstrated to this point? Because I see the former as distinctly more likely than the latter.
anyone who thinks DR is a better cover corner than Deion is a moron. DR is a upper tier cover corner right now, top 3 easily and you could make a argument for being the #1, although you could easily counter that argument with guys like Champ or NA. I would take Deion 99 times out of 100 over Darrelle and not even give it a seconds thought. Teams won superbowls because Deion shut down half the field. that is not the case with Darrelle.
Hope you don't mind the assist.... anyone who thinks DR is a better cover corner than Deion is a moron. Signed: Tedd Ginn Jr.
Lawrence Taylor just perked up when somebody said "best defensive player of all time"....well that and somebody shoved a bunch of hookers and blow in his face.....but u get the point... CB isnt impacted enough to be "best ever"....
That's what's being claimed. I always viewed Deion as a risk taker. He used to get beat plenty of times.
Is this you? http://www.sportressofblogitude.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/tyrone-crackhead-dave-chappelle.jpg
New rule: Anybody that gets dominated by Tedd Ginn Jr. is immediately disqualified from any discussion of best ever cover corner. and I saw Deion Sander's career...it is not even close. Deion would affect games with his punt returning ability and if he got his hands on a football on defense, he was gonna score. Revis...just falls down and grabs his hamstring. How bout this...Revis is the best cover corner in the NFL...TODAY. That's it. he is working on a hall of fame career, be satisfied with that. it's alot.
QBs throw much less at Nnamdi than they do at Revis, and Nnamdi rarely has safety cover over top. The bomb to Ginn (on Bevis) was like a quarter of the yards that Nnamdi allows in an entire season. QBs will at least test Revis...... where as with Nnamdi, they pretty much avoid like the plague. One coach said he'll throw at him occasionally just to keep him from getting bored.
exactly. and IMO, Champ Bailey (a few years ago) was better than Darrelle is today by a slight margin.
Yup. Completely agree. IMO Revis is looking up at those 2, waving to them, and asking if he can join their exclusive club. lol
Yes the jets still blow, even if the jets go undefeated and win it all ...still blow. But what do you expect from a disgruntled Dolphhin fan?
Now this douche claims he's friends with Revis...lol... Revis is a top three cover corner right now. Let's see what his entire career looks like when he's done before we claim he's the GOAT defensive player. And medical school?!?!? Bwwhahahahah!! Liar.
