Say what you want about BM but the man NEEDS to get better, at least if he wants to back up his BS.

He flat gave up on more than one game, dropped critical passes on several occasions, only scored three times all season, punted balls in practice and called out his QB during the season. But he wants to be treated like a number one elite WR...

    That BS

Okay, let’s take this one at a time.

    1. Gave up on a game? When? Provide specific examples where Brandon Marshall’s giving up on a game a. happened, and b. resulted in a loss.
    2. He caught 393 passes over the last 4 years and you’re calling out his hands? Really? A reminder: over the same period of time, Larry Fitzgerald has caught 383 passes, and Andre Johnson has caught 362.
    3. Marshall’s lack of scoring productivity was symptomatic of the offense as a whole. Poor quarterback play plus scared red zone playcalling plus willingness to settle for field goals equals lack of touchdowns. Remember when Dan Henning called three running plays in a row in the red zone against Pittsburgh?
    4. Punting balls in practice is now a fireable offense?
    5. Yeah, the entire offense called Henne out during the season. Watch their demeanor towards him after his two play benching. Fasano in particular was *****ing at Henne left and right, justifiably so.

By the way, you left out Brandon Marshall arguing with David Lee on the sidelines during games, being the fifth owner of the Bad Newz Kennels, opting out of the CBA, and causing the real estate bubble to burst.

I will never criticize someone if they are putting in a lot of effort to get better and showing a positive attitude, regardless of what happened the previous year. even moreso given the crappy state our offense was in last year. the guys a competitor and gets frustrated when his offense gets bogged down and not living up to its potential.

Here's a closer look at Marshall.

    20+ yds- targeted 18 times, caught 4 for 136 yds, 0 TD's, 2 drops

    10-19 yds- 43 times, 30 catches, 461 yds, 0 TD's, 3 drops

    0-9yds- 65 times, 47 catches, 398 yds, 3 TD's, 7 drops

    Minus yds- 6 times, 5 catches, 19 yds, 0 Td's, 1 drop.

I'm very curious as to how everyone looks at these stats, for better or worse.

I remember seeing more than one but I wonder how many of those drops were on third down when we could have extended the drive.

Marshall is right he has to get back to making plays. The TD production and the YAC average were sub par for a WR billed as a top 5 in the league.

Marshall at a 4.4? That would be sweet. He would be that much more dangerous. I hope everything works well with his training.

Other than TD's, Marshall is about the same as he was in Denver. His YAC is down but, his avg is up. I see him as the same player we traded for. IMO, we jumped the gun but, we have what we have.

Yep, that's why I asked if you might have had access to red zone stats. I recall being pissed quite often because Marshall was not thrown at on many occassion.

I think marshall is great at what he is, but what he is, we didn't need.

not the biggest Bmarsh fan but the guy seems to want to improve. His attitude has slowly gotten better, so if he keeps up the hard work he just might be back at the top. He is prob the #1 WR as far as "ability" to achieve and be the best WR in the league. He just needs to mature and learn to use his anger/energy positively

Killer, do you think that offseason surgery he had on his hip could of affected his speed and explosiveness, I mean you cant really make gains when your rehabbing in injury?, maybe he was a lil bit off trying to gain his strength and explosiveness back..

Sorry, I don't get to sit at my computer til aft5er 10pm PST so it takes me a while to reply.
1> I belive it was the jets game, fourth quarter he was targeted three times in a row, not sure if he was just gassed or what but on the last two plays he clealy did not go all out on the pattern, and we lost but I never said anything about him being the cause of the loss.
2> OK, but neither of those two act like divas
3> Yeah the whole offense sucked, doesn't excuse his individual lack of clutch play, someone else provide3d stats for you and yes alot of those drops were at critical times in the game.
    4>Yes
5>So because every one else is a jets fan its OK for you to be one??

I left out the other things cuz they never happened.

Don't go thinking I am not a BM fan or anything because I am, at least while hes a Dolphin, I just prefer actions to words and judge people accordingly.
