Desides, It's not a big deal that they messed up because it happens all the time. Bound to happen with this many trades.
Not sure I agree with that. Keeping your own records updated should not be a difficult or even time-consuming task. I made a flurry of trades prior to free agency and had no problem keeping track of what I had when I had it. And while this topic is hot, there are a bunch of outdated team pages. Just saying.
I'm pretty up to it on my dealings, it's not my job to follow every single trade, other than my own. It's a shame it came down to this, by Ether's silence I think he's coming to the clear answer here as well. He's still getting a capable runner back in Knowshown, and some good players late in the draft and I'll even throw in my last 3 seventh rounders to even things out. Certainly those three 7ths make up for 208.
Desides just because it wasn't a issue with you this year doesn't mean it won't. We all make mistakes and the GM league is a lot of hard work. I am just glad that the two GM's are still around and active
I’m just saying that staying up to date isn’t a difficult task. A little bit of due diligence on the part of the trade partner never hurts either, though ultimately it’s the GM’s responsibility to make sure he’s not offering phantom compensation.
indeed, a guy pickup in the 7th. Though not nearly as good as getting Adrian Peterson for #208. Talk about steal of the draft.
Yeah you're not getting Peterson back because of this 7th round issue. I'm not reversing that trade after the draft has reached the 7th round. You and Jacksonville can either workout acceptable compensation of a 7th round pick... or suck it up. Doesn't matter much to me. Sorry but there is no justification for me to take any action other than to tell you guys to work out reasonable compensation between the two of you.
I see once again you can make an exception for Gish, but when the same thing happens again you can simply just look the other way -shakes head-
Had you brought it up before all those draft picks were used... different story. But at this point in the game, it's tough to make a different ruling.
didn't stop you from going through the books ahead of time during bidding, maybe you should have gone through the book of draft picks too. you sir need to at least try to be consistent with your rulings, case is still wide open.
how about an Oscar Meyer... Once the Vikings leave town, this thing would be the biggest thing up there in Minnesoooooooota...
I know I do. I thought it was a pretty good joke, I'm sure Ether had a good laugh at it when I PM'd him what was going on. I almost really wished I cared that much about pick #208, just to see how far I could really take it.
Gish better hope the Raiders don't completely tank next year and pick 1st because if they do, he's screwed. Also, we're at pick 203, it says it's your pick.
yep, I messed up, but it's taken care of anyway. No idea how that happened, but yeah, it was 2PM, sorry about that.
I like the Hurt pick, I had him on my radar and kind of hoped he'd still be there during my next slew of selections. A guy who's started and doesn't get any recognition because of the bigger name players on that line.
Why? Hurt is pretty good lineman who gets overshadowed by Pouncey, Lockette has speed and size, and Anthony has quite a bit potential as a pass rusher.
Im on the clock and team before me just passed their time. I have to go out. Can i pick now or should i give a bulletin to someone?
Hurt I think is the talented enough to go in rd 5 of the 3, but wouldn't be at all surprised if he went later. Lockette has so little experience, and by all accounts questionable hands, so it wouldn't surprise me at all to see him go later. There's a lot of health concerns with Anthony (from what I've read), not to mention where he played. I'm not saying more than one won't go before the end of rd 5, just that I would be surprised if more than one did. It wouldn't be the 1st time I've been surprised though, so don't think I'm trying to say you're wrong.
