    Lets get right to it..

Crowd is hyped, Solai just beats the snot out of mangold, shoves him to the side like shirley temple in a helmet, and nails the back for a yard loss, next play, crowd is on its feet, Sean smith allows dustin Keller a huge cushion on a slant and gets beat bad for 18 yards, it wasn't even close... he continues getting beat by tight ends in his new role so far this season...

The following 2 plays we stuff them, crowd is once again at its apex, and once again, Smith plays too far back and gives up the quick slant for 10 yards to Brad smith..Y bell faked the blitz up the middle and couldnt get back in time to cover, not sure whos fault that was..

Bell gives up the big pass to Keller for 6..

What I got from that 1st series is the story of my life, whenver we have a chance for our crowd to get emotionally involved in a football game, the players let them down..

Also, I rerewatched every play, if nick mangold is the best center in the league, then I bet you he thinks Paul Solai is the best nose in the game..Guys, solai played with him like he wasn't there..I'll keep an eye out the rest of the game to see if we truly have the best nose tackle in football.

Holy sh$3...stop the presses....Ive got some visual evidence here as it pertains to speed...First play on offense, Henne drops back and fires a bomb to hartline, the pass was overthrown, but who cares, lets break down something....kyle Wilson runs a 4.4 at the combine right?, yup...It was a pure post by Hart, and Kyle had a 10 yard cushion, Wilson opened his hips and in pure stride tried to keep up, but couldn't, Hart got past him cleanly with a beautiful stride...would of been 6 untouched if Henne leads him correctly...That white boy has got some speed, cause I know damn well Kyle wilson does...

Lets talk Henne on the next 2 plays, 2nd down after the bomb, he drops, has Fasono wide open on an out route, but Henne tucks the ball and falls forward for a sack..after closer look, the reason he couldn't release it is because MQueefstain got beat and Ellis was directly in his throwing lane...3rd, henne drops, escapes immediate pressure up the middle by MCqueefstain with a beautiful sidestep, noone is open and throws it away, fans boo offense...Henne missed the chance to hit Hart in stride, but the last 2 were not his fault..poor interior line play not giving him a pocket to pass, was.

So now check it, The defense takes the field, Solai and Dansby is raising their hands for the crowd to get on their feet, with no luck, the ball is snapped, Solai dismisses mangold with one arm, and makes the tackle behind the LOS with the other...can you say long term contract please...holy sh^5..

Next offensive drive, Henne is finding a nice rhythm, were down at their 35, its first and 10, Henne drops, and Jason Taylor is one on one on the edge with none other than Lousaka Ploite...Jt with the blindside sack loss of 10..2nd and 20...the drive stalled after Henne gets his 3rd down passed tipped..

End of first quarter..To me because of the stupid identical mistakes that Ronnie and Ricky made last week, the gameplan was to come out and throw the football, I dont know if thats true, but they each had only 1 carry in the first quarter, and showed nothing on either.

So check this, for some reason Solai is out of the game with baker replacing him on the jets next drive, they gouge us up the middle for 10 on the first play. following that big mental mistake in the secondary, Keller gets 25..Lets remember, this defense is new and learning as they go, only mental mistakes hurting us, were NOT getting beat strait up..encouraging for the future.

Horrible call against clemons, {hit to the head}, makes a 3rd and 20, 1st and 10..totally not his fault, my goodness, he actually turned his head to avoid the penalty and they still gave it to him...were not only making our own mistakes, but the refs are adding to their momentum....Its ok, this is about seeing what kind of team we have the potential in becoming this year..Iam taking all these things into account, not just what people perceive us to be.

Our defense is losing patience and getting visibly frustrating by the mental errors..

Shottenheimer taking advantage of a young defense and players that wont be on the team next year, Bobby carpenter covering Keller who beats him on a deep slant strait up...Come on AJ.edds, that was supposed to be you.

Its 14 -0, lets see how we get back into this??

Henne gets us back, throws two beautiful passes to Marshall, and bess to quickly move the ball down the field to their 35..than guess what happens, after 2 emotionless carries by ricky williamss, he gets his 3rd, and loosely carries the ball, and it gets knocked out..we recovered the ball, but after what happened the week before, for him to do that so early in the game in another absolutely crucial moment, trust has to be disintegrating in his teammates eyes.. he's a lucky bastard..

    Lets see what happens next...

Make it 3 beautifull passes from Henne on this drive, bess to the 15..right after that Williams fumble..nice job Henne.

were gonna get to the bottom of why this season went to the shi$#er..I swear I am.

Its first down after that play and Henning calls a very poor design on a wildcat play, Marshall on the sweep, and guess what, he got the ball and was swarmed...stupid play, and that kind of sh%4 we will not see next year with Daboll...This is where I turn To Alen's analysis and his hope for Daboll, he has studied Daboll's scheme, and comes out with some positive feedback, thats good enough for me to have hope for next year, and reason to believe why this last year went downhill...Its not our talent up until this point thats hurting us, nor our QB'ing.

    K, lets see what happens..

Right back to the wildcat, on 2nd and 12....W....T....F...Ronnie with a piss poor effort, flag on us for a crackback block...

After all that mess, Henne comes back throws a deep pass to the sideline and gets an pass interference call at the 4, next play drops quick and fires it to Fasano for 6...

That whole drive came to fruition because of the arm and patience of Chad Henne..

OK..here we go, the crowd will reach its apex at this point, lets see what happens..

Well, we didnt wait for our defense to take the field, we ruined the moment for the crowd with a 50 yard return..

The dolphin defense takes the field and implores the crowd to stand, and I mean all the players directing them to stand, the crowd responds, 3 and out mother grabber!!!.

There's 7 mins to go in the game, lets see what happens on this drive after the emotion that 3 and out gave us.

Wow....Marshall lines up in the backfield with ronnie as the fullback, marsh takes the traditional pitch from henne for 5....I dont know if it was hint towards ronnie and ricky to get their sh%$ together, but I wouldnt blame the staff at this point, I dont trust either.

Henne throws a beauty curl route for 15 for a first down...then 2 runs by the lovers for 5 yards, than Henne for a 10 yard strike to bess.

Collinsworth complimenting Henne on reading the pressure and staying comfortable, Henne with another nice pass to bess, 1st down....''Henne is hot''...quote by collinsworth...Our team is making it look easy at this point, no trickery, no misdirection just strait up beatin them..still down by 7, 3 mins to go in half..we settled for 3 because of Berger gettin beat up the middle and a screen pass that was snuffed out for a loss..

1st half Henne was outstanding in the game, only complaint is the design of the offense and the way the game was called, Henning did not threaten the deep part of the field with a hot QB.

After 3 years...to start the 2nd half and have Patrick Cobbs returning your kickoff is truly ''Mindbottling'',lol...This is why I have in my mock a player in the third round that will be our fulltime returner/part time player..no more of this BS...inexcusable..Pony up Irish, or the Sparano family will send a hit to break a leg at least.

2nd half begins...I think Iam going to lose it man......#34 gets the pitch, runs to his right, gets tackled, and fumbles the ball as he hits the ground...now it was ruled in our favor but that dude fumbled AGAIN....again...W...T....F...IS GOING ON WITH HIM...after last weeks game against minnesota, and what hes done in this game, he would of been cut if I were coach, guys, this is totally unacceptable, and must be completely debilitating emotionally...No wonder these two are not going to be back..at this point, iam starting to think that their presense during the year is, and was, a major culprit for our demise, and why the team gave up at the end..Sit that wuss on the bench Coach..if it wasn't for multiple angles on replay, the ball would of been theirs...we have to take these things into account.

This is why I bought this rewind thing..To find the culprits of our demise...Ricky, Ronnie, Poor design, and poor interior line play are in the lead..All 4 not being on the team next year is all positive at this point and time...I have no problems with Henne.
    yet..

He actually saves the drive with a beautiful pass to bess for a first down..Than a 20 yard strike to Marshall, Henne continues the hot hand into the 2nd half.

Ok..coniption time..omgomgomg..So were driving the ball beautifully, we have the ball at their 35, and we got a hotass QB, we got a penalty to make it 2nd and 15, Henne goes to the sideline, Ronnie brown, who hasn't done jack squat in this game, along with his lover, is sent in by Henning to run the Cat..on 2nd and 15 and an empty backfield, nobody is in the freakin backfield man, there was no jet sweep, it was a simple snap to him and run up the middle for no gain...I..I..I..Iam at a loss for words....A professional at the highest level just showed a level of incompetence that I cant even conceptualize..Please help me..I may jump out the window of my hotel..

Ok, now that the anger has subsided, it has been replaced by excitement..WE DONT HAVE TO DEAL WITH HIM EVER AGAIN GUYS!!!!!!Were gonna be so much better next year..

The NFL is going to underestimate our football team next year..because they haven't a clue as to how bad our offense was designed and called..

Check this out, after that debacle, Henne comes back for a 3rd and 15, after ronnie brown tripped over a hankerchief, and threw a perfect pass on a deep out for the first....Can we all give him a virtual standing ovation for dealing with this moron of a professional?.

2 more wildcat plays and a Henne pass to Marshall, and were up 17 to 14 in spite of you know who..

For the 3rd strait week, we have completely dominated the opponent strait up..

Ok, let me set the scene, member last week when I said that even after a great game I may of seen why Jason Allen was cut?, I said that it was his inability to stay on his feet consistently enough, theres something wrong there in his balance...we just took the lead, our fans were AT THEIR APEX, Sanchez drops, throws to Edwards, Allen comes up completely out of position, slips on the temporary infield grass, or, because he just has a major balance problem, and edwards houses it for 80...This with our fans on their feet..

Heres the good news, all of these players and coaches who attributed to this loss and our season woes, will be gone..heres what I mean..

Interior line, we know we have to address the draft and free agency, and we should have a different look, as soon as free agency starts I believe we will sign a top guard, i think its imperative not to add rookies to the mix, unless its a first rounder..

    Henning...gone...

    Jason Allen...gone

    Ronnie and Ricky..gone, I hope.

I believe with these people being gone, we are going to be so much better.I really do. our core beat the hell out of their opponent 3 strait weeks..After they scored that TD to take the lead on that unforgivable 3rd and 15 that Allen gave up, Henne comes right back, and drives the team down the field, ignoring penalties, smiling at the sideline, clapping his hands, and basically looking like a bad *** that completely in charge and the game is easy against the supposed #1 defense in the league..gets a field goal after having it down to the three..at this point the kid has a 65 percent completion rate with 255 yards, 2 TD's and no picks..

Henne did everything he could to win the game, even at the end down by 8, went all the way down the field, and had 4 shots at it..The only mistake he made was not running the ball when he had a highway to do so..

Reasons for this loss, and reasons for optimism, all the things that caused this loss should be gone next year, can you say big time addition by subtraction..

Dan henning and the completely inappropriate use of the wildcat..

Ronnie Brown and Ricky williams.. The inability to do anything explosive or dynamic with the football, to make a play on their own, horrible vision when plays were there to be made, inexcusable handling of the football, and with no angry disposition [I was looking close} after the debacle in minnesota, is unacceptable for me..They followed that stink up with more stink..

Jason Allen...He was intimidated by Braylon Edwards, and it showed in his coverage..Dont think ive ever seen such a discrepency from 1 week to the next...Iam not sure if he was cut after this game or benched, but he needed to go....

Our trio of receivers played outstanding, Marshall is not 100 percent at this stage of the season.

Our defense played well outside of Jason Allen and Ybell and some mental mistakes in the secondary..

So lets see, no Henning, no Jason Allen, no David Lee, positive.. some new interior lineman, some new running backs who want to kill somebody when they run, and know how to hit a hole with authority, a new full time returner, and an x factor on offense, and we will compete this upcoming year year..

My gut tells me that the futility of Henning, Brown, and Williams destroyed this teams chemistry and the confidence of a young QB..

All this talk of defense in the draft is a waste of breath, its all about offense and returner in 2 weeks..Its all about helping that great young defense we have and creating balance for them..

Iam sorry this post was all over the place but I was watching and writing as if it were happening live..

Jason Allen lost that game more so than anyone else IMO. I just remember him getting beat play after play after play. Up until that game he was making a few plays to make up for his few bad ones, but in this one he was just pure garbage.

In fact, you could argue we lost to the Jets the first time because of Jason Allen and we beat them the second time because of Sean Smith. That was the only difference in personnel for us.

You act suprised that Ricky has a fumbling problem. Although its not his fault that he has small hands.

    Godd ish DJ, once again.

Im with you, it ALMOST seems like Henning was intentionally making it harder for the QB to gain any type of rhythm or confidence. Our passing was the main reason we didn't get blown out in the game, and yet time after time Henne's being yanked for some stupid WC plays that I have to believe ate up valuable practice time that we could've devoted to screens, draws, play action and other basic offensive plays that we ran terribly all year. Or maybe we could've spent that extra time on special teams.

This was the first of 3 consecutive games where we had a punt blocked, and none of them were all out block attempts, just terrible blocking. Erik Walden and then Carpenter twice IIRC.

Jason Allen looked scared. The 80yd play was bad enough, but the 3rd and 11 on NYs final drive was deadly.

Mangold had a bum shoulder, which may explain some of why Soliai was beasting on him.

Misi, Francis (?) and Moses did a poor job holding the edge on several occasions.

Langford had the game in his hands on NY's last drive, Sanchez threw a pass right at him that most elementary school kids would have a hard time dropping.

If Henne was just solid the first two weeks, he was damn good vs NY. Man coverage and blitzes are a bad idea vs us, zone is the way to go, especially cover 2. Belichek would expose this a week later, and the rest of the league took notice.

The only thing I disagree on is the first play to Hartline. You can say Henne overthrew him, or you could say that Hartline just doesnt have the extra gear to get to the ball, I put that on both of them.

GM, I love the wildcat, and believe that it can be used very effectively if used in the right situations, for me those situations are first and 10, or 2nd down when you have 5 yards or less to pick up..My philosophy behind that is If I have 5 yards to picks up, I believe our best chances to get those 5 yards would be 2 wildcat/jet sweep motion plays, and On first down I look at it as just a running formation that has better odds of picking up those four or 5 yards you want on first down than in a traditional sense.

2nd and 15 with an empty backfield is animal abuse..The only thing I can think of is that he wasted the down on purpose to set up the ronnie pass later....too stupid and too risky either way, just keep it as a power run formation and use it in situations where you have 2 downs to pick up 5 yards, or goal line running scenarios with 5 yards or less, and iam good.

Yes there was a few edge issues by the defense, I really like shottenheimer as a coordinator, he won this game for them despite being outplayed and out physicaled, he's great with misdirection, and thats been our achilles heel for this young defense thats had 3 defensive coordinators in 4 years..

Mangold with a bum shoulder huh...Ok..so maybe hes the 2nd best behind Haloti..

Langford with the drop...he played very solid the first 3 games, but has just missed on a few great plays, our home fans could only dream of one of ours making a play like that, in a situation like that...This is the only door I see open for Odrick, its gonna be a tough battle, but like the 23rd always says, ''ElIxIr Is ThE sEcReT oF SuCcEsS''....23rd know's iam just playin..lol

So before I get to week 4, you know what Henne's weakness is, so tell me hows he going to beat that zone one day..

I dont "dislike" the WC itself, it's more like I dislike when and how it was used. And I feel like it took away from other facets of our offense b/c let's face it, the HC isnt going to let it outta the bag unless he's comfortable w/ the way it looks in practice. That takes time, and IMO it took away from our ability to do other things. I mentioned the screens/draws/play action. Or how about if instead of spending ours dialing up WC plays we used that time coming up w/ bunch formations and creative route combos designed to get Marshall loose in the secondary?

IMO we deaded the Jet Sweep b/c the Saints kinda exposed it w/ the CB blitzes and Henning never did come up w/ answer for it. Also, Ricky was noticeably slower than he was in 09, we lost Smiley, who was a top tier puller and replaced him with Richie, who isn't a good puller by any stretch. We basically gave up on trying to outflank teams with it. If you Jet Sweep into a CB blitz you're talking about a big time loss of yards b/c Ricky isn't exactly a shifty, make you miss type runner anymore.

I agree it can still be useful in short yardage situations, I'm just not sure if we'll ever get as much out of it as we put in.

I think that if we can add some speed at the skill spots we'll be able to do a much better job attacking cover 2. A TE who can force the safeties to play honest, a RB who can make plays in the flats, a WR who can consistently threaten the safeties. IMO our passing offense should revolve around Marshall and we should target WR's/TE's that compliment him. Marshall is at his best in the short-intermediate areas (slants-digs-shallow crosses-an occasional sluggo and of course fades any time we catch a team in man coverage) catching the ball in space and creating yards after the catch. We need to be able to force opposing secondaries to expand their zones more, last year everything was condensed and even when BM did make catches, he was usually surrounded before he could even turn up field. Give him some space, and Marshall can shine, give him some one on ones and he can be deadly. The key IMO is stretching the field vertically and developing a consistent threat on the ground.

Thanks Deej. I like these post game post game write ups. McQueefstain, the lovers, and Ronnie tripping over a handkerchief cracked me up.

Dotson took a friggin beating on that drive!! Briefly I thought Tina Turner was in a Phins uniform.

Incognito pulling early on made me lol. He barely beats the running back to his assignment before. For a second I thought Henne was gonna hand it off to Richie with Ronnie leading through the hole. Too bad this wasn't a reason for the lovers tanking.
