Its certainly a higher level. I just don't like seeeing offensive players getting bailed out the way they are. Isolation plays seem to be less prevalent so that's good.

There's no doubt its the best collection of players in the world...well except most of the 4 and 5 positions.

I think stern has too much power and has carefully molded the league into something I'm not crazy about

Its the most exciting it has ever been but far from the "best" imo...

Players can do so much more athletically than they used to but the dream team of the early 90's had players that were great and knew how to play BASKETBALL...

Their is a reason some foreign team could kick our asses at any given moment, the current players are not good at being TEAM players in my opinion, the fundamental things that win games has escaped alot of todays players.

    For Example:

A team of Derrick Rose, Carmelo Anthony, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and Dwight Howard in my opinion couldnt win a gold medal. And they would be the most talented team by FAR.

As much as I dont like LeFraud he is a player molded from the early 90's era when it comes to being an all around player and playing team basketball.

One offensively challenged big man and four ballhogs of course don’t constitute a great team. That’s a bad example. Swap Rose for Rondo, swap Carmelo for LeBron, and then you have a gold medal candidate. Even then, Kobe might have to be put out to pasture and swapped for Wade.

He stopped being LeFraud when he left Cleveland and the whole “next MJ” thing behind. Keep up.

...lol @ the mental picture of practice.

One guy elbowing everyone in sight, and four guys trying to steal the ball from one another.

Lefraud Lefraud Lefraud Lefrauds Lefraud Lefraud Lefraud Lefraud Lefraud.....

    He will ALWAYS be LEFRAUD.

And the example I used was what the majority of the NBA is imo, streetballers who want to go one on one. Thats why I dont believe the NBA is better than it was 15 years ago.

He would have been LeFraud in New York. You would have tried the same thing Cleveland did, and failed miserably.

    Just a reminder:

Not every jab, just those that involve the nickname I made up for him a couple of years ago being thrown out by someone who thinks he got jilted at the altar. I intended that to describe a specific set of circumstances, namely LeBron as the one-man Michael Jordan-like savior and deliverer of championships to a town that hasn’t won a thing in decades.

He stopped being LeFraud when he came to Miami because he stopped trying to be MJ. He took on the Magic Johnson role, which his skill set is more suited for anyway. That was the end of LeFraud.

It actually is trolling, because you’re simply attempting to stir the pot. Doesn’t work like that.

And by the way, I’m now trying to come up with a nickname for Kevin Durant. He’s now the media’s latest Michael Jordan template infatuation, and thus is the new LeFraud.

I'm not stirring anything. I sit back and read other peoples opinions and yours, as it relates to LeBron, has done a 180 since 'the Decision.'

What else am I supposed to conclude? That its not asinine? I understand you root for the laundry, but give the rest of us a break -- he is allowed to be criticized.

I read this and realize that you have no reading comprehension whatsoever.

One more time: I called him LeFraud because, in Cleveland, he was in a fake role as the next Michael Jordan. He was never going to be that. It was all a lie. A deception. Fraud, if you will. That’s not to say he was personally responsible for creating it, nor is that somehow me denigrating his skills. But he was never going to be what the media and Cavs fans were hoping he’d be: “the man.” The NBA doesn’t work like that. Just ask Wade, who was “the man” on a 15 win Heat team. Hell, ask Kobe Bryant, who was “the man” on a rebuilding Lakers team, who demanded a trade to a team with more pieces so he could win more titles.

That you think my opinion of LeBron as a player has done a 180 since he signed with the Heat tells me you have absolutely no effing clue what I’m talking about. Doubly so when you think I’m trying to stop Fin-O from criticizing LeBron. I’m bristling that he’s using my nickname to describe a player that no longer exists, not trying to stop him from criticizing LeBron period. He can criticize LeBron all he wants. I’m still going to remind him that he wanted LeBron on “his Knicks” badly, but he expects that, and it’s not an attempt to shut him up.

    Reading comprehension. Get it.

Sorry Deside but YOU may have called him LeFraud way back when but he became LeFraud to most non Heat fans last July.

You want to pretend i feel that way because he is not a Knick then pretend away because your in the minority in thinking LeFraud is a good citizen.

Let me do this math problem real quick.

When YOU called him LeFraud it was validated and a fair assesment of YOUR opinion at the time...he signs with Miami now everyone who frowns upon his demeanor and calls him LeFraud is just a hater.

    Hmmmm.

Running to his defense? From what, the big bad ESPN? We’ve been laughing at the likes of Bill Simmons since day one. I’d give you a break, but then you’d have to give it right back.

Come up with a new nickname and you can have at him. But one day you’re going to have to come up with more than “he didn’t sign with the Knicks”.

I'll say it again, IF he wouldve signed with the Knicks he wouldve still been an *******, just an ******* I wouldve rooted for.

I have my opinion about Carmello but he wears Blue and Orange so I fist pump everytime he makes a shot.

YOUR missing the whole point, I dont remember seeing you EVER call him LeFraud before, I dont doubt you were Anti-LeFraud before he signed with Miami. LeFraud isnt just a catchy nickname it happens to be who he kind of is, so sorry im sure you get 25 cents to the Dollar on the 20 Million Tee Shirts that have that name phrased on it.

Lebrons an idiot, should of took his game to the clippers. Weak western conference, pairing him with blake griffin would be unstoppable. Not to mention eric gordon and chris kamen.

I still don;t understand where this "Lebron is an *******" narrative started.

it is pretty stupid if you ask me, and it sells the theory that he became an "*******" when he chose to tell New York to kiss his ***.

    not better than the heat...and....

    IT'S THE CLIPPERS.

They can add Durant, Rose, Howard, and the ghost of Wilt Chamberlain and would still fail to make the playoffs.

Anybody who is a fan of any team he didn't pick has an obvious reason to dislike him. And in general the biggest name on a franchise gets attacked at opposing arenas, particularly if you have something to publicly known to try to get him with. I think the fact that he had the #1 selling jersey is probably a good indicator that the number of people who really turned on him is overstated. Part of the huge sales numbers is a result of him changing teams, but even with that it's obvious that he has a ton of fans. All those jerseys weren't bought in Miami alone.

Right its because he didn't pick every other NBA, nothing to do with his smug actions his comments that his popularity dropping is racist, or his actions toward his coach when the Heat were struggling.

None of that. Just because he didnt pick the Knicks, that's the reason.

Heat fans have to continually remind themselves that the other 49 states are doing their best to interpret everything LeBron has done in a negative light.

The playoffs are incredible this year. That Portland comeback was magical. The Grizzlies might take their series to seven and even win it.

If there’s going to be an NBA lockout they’re going out with a bang.
