just watched the Halloween remakes done by Rob Zombie. Actually pretty good. It was darker and more disturbing in a sense. The 2007 Halloween gets into Michael Myers childhood and what caused him becoming the future killer. The 2009 followup was a continuation of it.

Lincoln Lawyer - Worth checking out. I may be biased because I am a big Connelly fan and they kept fairly close to the book, but I enjoyed the movie.

THE OTHER GUYS, 1st 30 minutes was funny, after that they were searching for a story and the movie starts going down hill.

Watched Tron: Legacy, and I really liked it. The soundtrack is freaking awesome!

Also watched Vexille, which was a pretty cool movie.

I didn't think the 2nd one came out until April 19th? I also thought Yen said the 2nd would be his last.

Anyway, Yen is like 47 (actually turns 48 in July; he's only 3 months younger than Jet Li), so I doubt he's the "next" great martial arts actor. Tony Jaa would be far more likely (he's 35), but I doubt he'll be the "next" one here given that I don't think he's been in any US (Hollywood) movies so far.

i think ip man 2 came out in 2010, maybe even 2009, not sure. i read yen doesnt want to do ip man 3 because there is an explosion of ip man movies coming out now. still he has to be convinced. ip man 2 ended with bruce lee meeting ip man for the first time. everyone wants to see ip man 3 because it will be the bruce lee years. personally i prefer yen to jaa. love yen's style and hand speed

Yes it did in the east, but I mean stateside it comes out on the 19th.

And there's nothing wrong with preferring Yen over Jaa, I'm just contending that there's no way Yen will be the "next" martial arts action star given his age.

I finally saw The Human Centipede.

I suppose that if you went into it as one of the first people to see it and didn't know it was a bad movie, you would come out blasting it. But going into it knowing it was bad kind of liberated me to see it for its merits...and it does have a couple.

The acting is laughable and the story fails when it goes for the cheap gross-out; the pus-squeezing scene comes to mind. But it is creepy throughout and scary most of the time, and even intentionally tongue-in-cheek funny a couple of times.

It's only in the end, specifically in the last 15 minutes or so that it completely loses its way and falls apart; almost as if one person directed the movie to that point, and then someone else finished it...someone far less talented.

It's almost as if they had a great idea and started shooting without an ending, and then couldn't think of a resolution that did justice to the rest of the film and had to finish shooting under constraints. Whatever, though...I still think it's worth watching if you're into horror flicks.

Saw Scream 4. Definitely impressed, and is obviously the best of any "4th" horror movie. Not as good as the original, and probably not as good as the 2nd, a little better than the 3rd and it has the most comedy of the bunch mainly from Gale and the spoofing of the Saw franchise and remakes. The beginning is amazing, definitely lives up to the other Scream openers. Also a bunch of references to the originals obviously, with some twists as well. I did think the end before the credits was kind of abrupt.

There were a few things in the trailer that were cut from the film and from some pictures that were not in it. I hate when they do that. Especially when it looks good. The weird thing is they are very noticeable, one was in every TV commercial. To not spoil anything on here, go here to see what was re-moved or reshot (spoilers are there): http://scream-trilogy.net/category/scream-4/

Watched The Town ....finally. Planned to see it several times but for a variety of reasons never saw it in the theater.

Loved it , the feel of the characters , their town , the slowness in the right scenes with the pacing in others was great imo. Terrific cast and fabulous direction from Ben Affleck. His two movies as a director leaves you with the feeling this is a talented director who will have a lot to offer in the future. Nice turn around from some of the scmaltz he was involved in as an actor.

Will watch this again this week , that is how much I enjoyed it .

Megamind - It was pretty good. I liked a lot of the dialogue more than the story, not too say it was a bad story.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 - Boy I really should have watched the previous movie (if not all of them) more recently, because some stuff I just didn't remember (never read the books). It was pretty good too, but some of the stuff just seems silly. I mean the bad guys can capture or kill pretty much anyone they want to, except for one 17 year old kid who isn't even as good at spells or as ingenious as some of his classmates. Ehhhh.... Oh, and Ron an Hermione just need to do it and get it over with.

Prince of Persia - Entertaining popcorn movie. Considering the source material it should probably be considered a masterpiece, especially when you compare it to so many other crappy video game movies.

Sucker Punch...Not really what I expected, but some really exquisite scenes.

For instance, from start to finish, this sequence is the type of stylized action that Rodriquez excels at; seemingly giving us a glimpse into a comic book or Japanime movie. Ultimately, making the following action sequences pale in comparison.

Still, I would highly recommend this movie. Even if only for a couple action sequences.

Such a great movie. My favorite scene was when Jim Carey paid the inmate to play some music to dance to and then Carey and McGregor start dancing while the inmate gets his *** beat in the background...Too Funny.

Saw that one theaters with the wife when it first came out, and have it on blu-ray now. Really good, enjoyable movie.

Just saw The Other Guys with Will Ferrell and Marky Mark. Funny if you like Will style humor, though he turns his stuff down a little bit. Was good enough to get some chuckles from the wife who normally is not a fan.

i love you phillip morris was decent. i kinda wanted to hate it, but it was actually a pretty good story. i didnt really find it that funny though

love and other drugs was surprising as well. if they cut out some of the background stuff on the donnie darko character, it would have been better. it was just really cheesy. and i really didnt need to see the macarena again lol. another solid story though

Just saw the new "Thor" movie. Good movie, and I usually don't like superhero movies; mainly because they're all graphics, no dialogue. Anthony Hopkins and a fresh new face for the lead character made this movie very enjoyable.

By the end of the movie, I felt like it was only a half hour and I was wanting more. I could be critical, but why in this case. Big thumbs up from me...

Watched Fast Five, it was alright. Lots of corny, over the top action. If you like Transformers, you will like this. Rock really had no business being on this movie, his lines were cheesy as ****, it's almost as if they just stuck him in that role because of him being a recognizable face, a lower level roidhead actor would of done just fine, the end is a bit twisted (if you stay after credits)

Just saw this, surprisingly good. Based on the trailers it looked like the corniest piece of crap, but after hearing some friends say the movie was good (and the trailers didn't do it any favors) I saw it. Definitely enjoyed it at least as much as the first Iron Man.
