I just bought a new house. I closed last Friday and for my birthday yesterday, I mowed the friggin grass.
This is the first house that I bought since I moved out here to Colorado in 2003. My dogs are going to love the huge backyard. It's a old 2 bedroom ranch style home with a one car detach garage. Now I can scream at the TV with out my neighbors laughing at me.
I started looking at houses back in October with the idea of moving out at the end of April, which is when my lease at the apartments will expire.
My first dinner will be..........a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and it will the awesome!

    Awesome, congrats!

I'm still happy in my first home 2 years in. You have to pee in your back yard once to really break it in (and to mark your territory)!!

I've already pissed on a tree, but it's being removed.

congrats. great feeling to have a new house, big backyard and watch your dogs run around in it.
I miss my first house in Ohio. small ranch with fenced in 2 acre backyard. my dogs had a running track several hundred feet long.
my house in MA has a half acre, but 1/3 of it is wetlands, so not very useful.
