Incognito is better at center than LG. He's limits our run capability at LG.

There are a lot of *****es on this board. What is there to complain about? Pouncey was need, he wasn't a reach, he was a very safe pick - a sure fire starter on the interior line for us for years to come. The only other pick that would have made sense at 15 was Ingram. Reaching for a QB in a sub-par QB draft class would have been ignorant. Just sucks we have no #2 pick. There are going to be a lot of great players in round 2 that we will miss out on. I was hoping for a trade down, but Pouncey and Ingram were the two safe, sure fire, can't miss picks. But we can still get a quality back later, bring back RW (hopefully) and sign DeAngelo Williams.

I can't complain about the Pouncy pick. The guy will be an All-Pro O Lineman. We need better QB protection and run blocking. He will be good to great at both.

I would of taken Ingram or Mallett, or traded down. Our O-Line might block, too bad they'll be blocking for a ****ty QB, and average Rb's...

As for Incognito, I think a strong, physical guy like him is better suited for C. The guy is terrible at the 2nd level, and that's just not what you want from a LG.

i gotta believe they wanted to trade down, and tried hard to work a deal with someone to get farther down in rd. 1., but could not get a deal done.

Me too. Schefter and Mortenson said Minnesota and Detroit were trying also (#12 and #13).

So many good players available. I'm all four trading next years 1st round pick for Mark Ingram. Boom running game improved. Get Kaepernick in the 3rd.

Since the Tuna, in the first round:

    -Long: HOF
    -Davis: Little Revis
-Odrick: Looked the part before injury. Very likely a solid player
-Pouncy: Will start for 10 years

For all the misses they've had, I like what they do in the first round!

  18. I do not think passing on Ingram is a huge deal. He may slip out of the 1st rd all together. Mallet we will all find out if it was a mistaked to pass on him in the next few seasons, time will tell.

They improve the team talent-wise every single year. They'll continue to do it too.

Great pick to you. To the vast majority of people who realize interior lineman never go top 15 because it's terrible value, it isn't. Interior lineman at 15, is a terrible pick. You can get very good guards late 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounds, every year. More of the same by this terrible FO. Play it safe by reaching on a lineman, and lose 8 games minimum. Ross sure won't be happy with more ****ty attendance, and these clowns will obviously be fired.

And it's all led up to... 2 losing seasons, and a fluke 11-5 season where we were embarassed in the first round. I wonder why. Oh I know, we haven't had a QB in 11 years.

You don't think Pouncey improves it? Say what you want about the "value", but you'd be the first of anyone say he's not very good.

Could also be because the team's talent level was terrible a few years ago but hey just saying. If those guys do get fired. They're going to have an impressive level of talent for another coach.

Let's just forget about this FO trading up to get an Ingram or Mallett. That requires testicles, something this FO clearly lacks.

Was it not a fluke season? Are you telling me I'm wrong? To go 11-5 after 1-15, and then follow it up with two more losing seasons certainly smells like a fluke to me.

You're not necessarily wrong about a QB, but none of those guys are going anywhere anytime soon, and they will be solid contributors for a long time - they are part of the solution, not the problem. Maybe Henne becomes that guy? Maybe they trade for Kolb on Monday? Maybe they get Mallet somehow in the 3rd, or Kaepernick, and they pan out?

But when it comes to the first round, we always seem to get a good-to-great player and that can't be argued.

I'm not sure what kind of plan he would have. I doubt he's just going to wave a magic wand and turn Henne into a competent QB before our eyes. He's going to try and run the ball like he did in Cleveland I bet, and it's going to result in another bottom 10 offense, with none of the big plays this FO lied to us all about wanting, and Ross won't be happy, and they will all be fired.

edit - didn't see the sarcasm part.

4th round prospect as far as I'm concerned. Not sure why all the hype for a guy as bad as he is. Same can be said for Kaepernick, but he has much better tools than Dalton imo.

  40. If I were a betting man I'ld wager we will see more of the greatness they saw in Cleavland from him.
